I enjoyed staying in Arnie's place. It was very quiet and I slept well. The house is in an awesome location and comes with a parking space. There is a private entrance to the room and the bathroom was good. I was really surprised to find a washer and dryer in the room, that was a huge plus to me. Also, Arnie left a bowl of fruit, a list of local restaurants, and a key for me. It was a very easy experience and I'd suggest it for any single people looking for a place to sleep without spending Cape May prices.
Thanks for your suggestions Ben. Much appreciated. Will act on them right away. Hope you had a safe trip home.
Arnie was very responsive and also very forthcoming with driving directions and other helpful information. Everything was as expected, a cute little room, private bath, private entrance and screen in the hall separating the room from the rest of the house. The bed was nicely made with fresh towels arranged in the bed as well, and the fruit bowl plus various foodstuffs (coffee, tea, juice, sugar) were useful and appreciated.
The residence is right on the marina, and I very much enjoyed sitting at the small picnic tables outside for a glass of wine, also lunch one day, and dinner on my last night (beautiful sunset and lots of stars). A 20 minute walk gets you into town, another 10 minutes and you can be on the gorgous Cape May beach as well.
The only negative I found was the noise from the air conditioner (or maybe it's a not water heater? ) adjacent to the room which woke me repeatedly, but other than that, everything was perfectly fine and pleasant.
This is a perfect place to stay when you just need a place to sleep and relax. The room is relatively small, but it's very quiet, clean, and comfortable.
Perfect, private space right on the water!
I had a last minute desire to go to Cape May. I had never used Airbnb before this but since I have heard such good things about them, I wanted to give them a try and I am so glad that I did. I logged onto Airbnb on a Monday night and booked this room for the next night. It was the best thing I have done for myself in a while.
Arnie, the owner of the room I rented, contacted me right away. He gave me directions and informed me where to park. When I arrived there was a key waiting for me. Inside the room there was a pull out couch, which was all pulled out with fresh linens. A cute bathroom was on the side of the room, and I had private access to the room. There was a bowl of fresh fruit, coffee filters, tea, filtered water, milk. There was even a beach pass for me to use. Arnie was also kind enough to leave a paper explaining how to access the internet, recommendations for some good restaurants and other information that was quite helpful.
I had a few more questions for Arnie so I called him, he was very nice and very helpful. He turned me on to a great beach. I was in heaven.
So I will sum up my visit for you; Cute room, good price, great host, beautiful beach, incredible restaurants. My only regret--I could not stay longer. I'll be back!
Host was extremely gracious and accommodating. The room was perfect and extremely convenient to everything in Cape May.
Arnie was a great host - very prompt communicating with us. He also left us beach tags and a bowl full of fruit (which we gratefully ate!). The property is a little bit out of the way of the town of Cape May, but it's fairly easy to walk (about 1.25 miles to the mall/beach). There's also a park and ride lot with a free trolley about a half mile closer to town that runs in the afternoons.
The room was as pictured - separated from the main part of the house with a screen door - but we never really heard anyone on the other side. There was a little kitchenette and fridge, which we didn't use (since we were only there one night) - overall, very good value!
Organization provided by Arnie for checkin and checkout was perfect. The room is located in a nice place close to the arbor. We were just a little bit disturbed by air conditionner noise.
I absolutely fell in love with Cape May. It was my first time visiting and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Arnie's place was very easy to find and in a wonderful location. Arnie was nice enough to provide beach tags and extra towels. The bedroom was the perfect size and very comfortable. It was a 5 minute ride from the beach and well worth the drive. The beach is very peaceful and not crowded whatsoever. Excellent restaurants and beautiful town all around. The marina, where the complex is literally on, is beautiful and gorgeous at sunset. Arnie was extremely accommodating. I will most definitely be back there if Arnie will allow it.
I went to Cape may for the sea side so I didn't spen so much time in the room. The residence is close the marina, so perfect for whom is going with the whale watchers, but it is a little further away from the center of the town and beaches , it is approx 1 mile, so you can walk there. The room is like appear on the picture, but has a small kitchinette and a bathroom for yourselves, so it is very private, and the give you clean linen and towel, so it is perfect for those a who are "on the road" and cannot pack everyinting on the backpack. the host are very nice and I felt like they really care about, so they are offereng you juice, coffee maker, water a nd fruit, so you can make you own breakfast.
Arnie was a great guest, easy to communicate with and left my place in great condition, would be happy to host again.
Great guest. They communicated well and were a pleasure to host. They took care of the apartment like it was their own and we would welcome them back anytime!
It was a pleasure having Arnie as a guest. He left the apt in great condition. We would definitely host him again.
Arnie was great; left the place spotless and, though entirely unnecessary, thank you for the wine and fruit!
My pleasure, Rich. You had left the bottle of wine, which I didn't use, so I left there for next guest, and a friend had given me a bunch of clementines which I can't take home, so left there also for next guest. Thanks again and Happy Thanksgiving!
Polite and easy to communicate with! I enjoyed having Artie at my place.
I didnt have the pleasure to meet Arnie but at every moment the communication was perfectly smooth. He is really nice guest and clean and helpfull, a pleasure for me to rent the flat for him at anytime.
Arnie made airbnb seem easy. He is a wonderful guest! Though we never met our communications went along smoothly and quickly.
Your home will be in good hands. He left place tidy and clean. I recommend him; a pleasure to host him.
Arnie was a wonderful guest. I found the place clean and tidy it and communication was easy and timely. I would definitely rent out my place to him again!
I've stayed numerous times with Arnie and a number of times in the downstairs bedroom on offer. It is clean, quiet and comfortable, for two, with a nice shower. It also has a nice kitchenette area which is convenient and is walking distance to a convenience store for stocking up on food and beverages. I'd recommend it as a cost-effective alternative to staying in the more expensive B&Bs, while still being close to all that Cape May and the Lower Jersey Shore has on offer. - F.S., Ocean Grove, NJ.
Staying at Arnie and Tom's home in Cape May is one of the most relaxing and "spiritual" ways I know of spending much needed down time. Their home is always immpecably clean. The walk to the beach from their place is invigorating and if you are driving, there is never a problem finding a place to park nearby. I enjoy the waterfront location of their condominium and the fact that it is not in the center of town, yet within walking distance of the town activity, if that is what you are looking for.
