Response from Marly:
First before Joe’s arrival we exchange approximately 12 emails. One of the first emails that I sent to Joe contained a map in Spanish (usually for the taxi driver), descriptions in English (for the guest), and pictures of the street and the exterior of the house. (website hidden) maps provides a very accurate location and directions on how to get to the apartment once you enter our address. The truth is Joe flagged down taxi driver who happened to have very little knowledge of Cholula and the surrounding area....and unfortunately these kind of things we can not control. I understand Joe’s frustration and I (Enrique, Marly’s husband) spoke to her after her arrival to make sure she was home and safe. Then Joe sent me a nasty email even complaining about my wife and the way (according to Joe) Marly handled the keys. The person who handled the keys was our lovely, loyal and humble maid Magda NOT Marly and Magda is a sweet person who is a human being just as everybody else and there is no need to be treated any different. Joe “FORGOT” to mention that even though we have a strict policy we offered her a FREE night, YES a FREE NIGHT, so next day she could find a place that could fulfill her expectations. When I notified Airbnb about our situation, they were so pleased about our kind gesture that they even sent us a $100.00 coupon. It was obvious that Joe was not happy and I found her attitude arrogant and mean specially to our workers who were trying to help. We love hosting people from all over the world and we had made great friends through our experiences. We understand that nothing is perfect but we really try to offer a clean, beautiful, and unique space in this great town of Cholula. Joe….. life is short and beautiful….be happy. HOSTS be aware !!!!!
