I wanted to be outside of downtown San Francisco and Jennifer's place was perfect -- a few steps from the main drag in Noe Valley, about a 15 minute walk to Valencia and the Mission, and very easy to get to on public transportion. The apartment is lovely, very clean, and the room is large, very sunny and very nicely furnished. And to top it off, Jennifer was the perfect host --friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about San Francisco.
Hello, my name is Chris Jones I am a chef out of Chicago who recently moved to San Francisco to start a new job. The companies Operations Manager - Javier reached out and asked for some assistance from Jennifer to help me with this transition and she happily received me into her home with very little notice.
I was nervous about staying at another person’s house, especially not having to share space with anyone but my family for the last ten years. Jennifer made me feel very welcomed right from day one and the room she provided me with was so cozy. It almost felt like being back home.
As well as being a enjoyable room to stay in Jennifer also had recommendation based on my background on things that I may want to do around the area which I thought was a great touch.
Overall I thought that the accommodations were a fantastic alternative to the overpriced hotels in San Francisco, and would recommend staying here any day.
As a personal note I would like to thank Jennifer for a fantastic stay, I cannot wait to come back!
Jennifer was fairly new to Airbnb (I was her third guest), but she was an excellent host.
She provided water (lemon/mint!) and made my bed (!) daily - these are both quite uncommon to find in a host and I appreciated those nice touches.
I would definitely recommend this room to anyone and you cannot do any better if you want to stay in Noe Valley.
A little bit "funky" with the bathroom downstairs, but overall, a very good experience. Jennifer is an excellent hostess. You can't beat the location, in the center of Noe Valley. No TV in the room, but you shouldn't be there to watch TV anyway.
Thanks for sharing this Jeff. I've changed the listing to specifically tell folks they have to go through my garage/studio to get to the half bath. I think most people appreciate the privacy.
Staying at Jennifer's place was such a treat! Not only is her place in a superb location - a half block to a Sat morn farmers' market, easy access to cafes, shopping, and even a nail salon -- ladies -- if you need a quick fix or want to indulge), but also Jennifer has fantastic energy and welcomes you right into her sweet home. When I walked into my room, there was a warm welcome on a board, along with delicious lemon water, and fresh flowers. The room is very spacious and the bed quite comfortable. Bay windows give you energizing sunlight, fresh air, and a view to the fun streets of Noe Valley. Jennifer provided restaurant recommendations, wonderful morning and day-end chats, and simply a very comfortable environment, where I felt totally at ease to come and go. I would highly recommend staying with Jennifer!
Jennifer's stay with us centered her visit with her niece & family who live nearby. Using our guest room as an overnight base for sleeping, she kept us up to date so we knew when expect her arrivals and departures. Our morning conversations revealed a shared interests in the creative arts. A neat, clean and respectful guest we look forward to seeing Jennifer again.
