Hello. I'm Matt, I’m 28 and I live in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. As heard on BCFM, Hospital Radio and BBC World Service and as seen on BBC One and BBC News 24, I’m a student, traveller, blogger, procrastinator, music lover, photographer, writer, reader, cyclist and media wannabe.
Some cool things I've done include:
White Water Rafted in New Zealand down the world’s highest commercially rafted waterfall, a vertical drop of 7m; Hiked 6km in thigh-deep snow between Männlichen and Kleine Scheidegg in Switzerland; Cycled the streets of Copenhagen, Paris, Reykjavik & London; Raced in a 270cc kart in Orihuela, Spain; Climbed to the top of Monte Vesuvio, a 1281m high active volcano best known for destroying the roman city of Pompeii in 79 AD; Went out into the dark Icelandic night and saw both the fiery eruption of the Eyjafjallajökull volcano and the aurora borealis (Northern Lights); Learnt how to say ‘Eyjafjallajökull’.
The measure of a successful life is not how much money you have but how happy you are and the experiences you've had.
