My husband, David, and I live about 15 mins. NW of Harvard Sq. in our own home where I do lots of container gardening on the 2nd floor front porch. I'm a textile/mixed media artist and dancer, earning money to pay for fabric and classes by working for the Boston Musicians' Association (Local 9-535 of the American Federation of Musicians). After a successful career in sound editing in Hollywood, David now works in adult education at Tufts University.
We don't travel extensively but each of us have spent time (many years ago) living in Paris and wish we could return more often. I can still speak some French with a really good accent but a really limited vocabulary!
We're not fussy about accommodations, things can be funky but we like them clean and our bedroom private. David is mildly allergic to pet dander, and we both appreciate quiet after 11pm when we're likely to be reading in bed before going to sleep.
Exploring the particular neighborhoods where we stay is a large part of the fun for us, fancy restaurants and expensive shops are less important than friendly, quirky ones.
