A person that live with passion.... Love travel around the world... and that love great living...
The first thing I thought when I saw Casa Bella was WOW. The others in my group yelled at me, saying, "Why didn't you tell us it was going to be this nice?? We could've hung out here instead of spending time in San Jose!" The pictures really don't do it justice and it is a GORGEOUS place - very clean and spacious, with an incredible view of the city. I wish we got to spend more time here. Jay left so many nice touches: fruit, eggs and drinks in the fridge, lots and lots of towels (that can be a problem at AirBnbs).
I will say that it's a little farther than we thought due to the traffic that always seems to surround San Jose (we were there on a weekday). It took us an hour to get to San Jose and almost 40 minutes to get to the airport because of the traffic. Definitely keep that in mind as the location is a bit far.
Jay is great at communicating, and his friend Christian was very friendly and helpful. I saw a previous review mentioning an army of bugs and luckily we didn't have that problem at all. If this is the location you're looking for, I highly recommend this amazing home!
The apartment/house has an excellent location on a mountain with a terrace from where you have an amazing view. The apartment was quite cool with a large open air living room and 2 large bedrooms. The kitchen was provided with food..! Last Christian, a friend of the owner, welcomed us in a friendly way although we arrived late. Enjoyed our short stay!
My friends and I absolutely loved Jay's place. The pool was incredible. Jay was out of town while we were there but he made sure someone was there for us when we needed and gave us his friend's number. It was nice to have wifi and maids who came to clean when you asked. Overall it was a great experience. It was beautiful.
Complete local and raw experience.a real insight to Costa Rica.coild not have asked for more
The home has a great view of the Valley. You could see San Jose in the distance and its outlying suburbs. View of the mountains and volcanoes is also great. From the house we were able to watch fireworks displays on the other side of the valley. At the base of the of hill was the town of Atenas, which is quaint. The town is walkable but would suggest driving down the hill and park across from the gate keeper's house and from there you could walk. We had a cast of here or maybe they were peregrines that would circle the area, flew very closet the house neat to see.
We had a nice, relaxing stay. The view was fantastic.
Jay and his wife helped my wife retrieve her forgotten airline pillow. Thanks for your help!
We had so much fun!
We had a lot of fun at Jay's place in Atenas! We spent a lot of time on the terrace (pictured) looking at the amazing view, watching sunsets and huge tropical rainstorms. The bedrooms are vast and comfortable and the apartment is well-located for exploring San José and other sites around the capital city while enjoying the comfort of a cool house on a hill.
Jay was awesome and the home was exactly as described. The views are amazing and the beds are super comfortable.
Jay was a pleasure to work with, he communicated his trip well with us and informed us his group would arrive on different days. Jay left the house clean and tidy. We were happy to have Jay. We are looking forward to Jay staying over again within a couple of months as he mentioned. You are welcome any time!
