Francie and I have been married 36 years. I have four children and six grandsons. Eleven years ago I set up a business to help high school athletes who put education first to get recruited to elite academic colleges. I am semi-retired now and we are starting to travel more regularly, just returning from three weeks in Eastern Europe. Personally, besides sports being an integral part of my work, I play baseball, run, ski, play tennis and love to sail. I coached 13 softball and soccer teams for our daughters and will watch most any sport in person or on tv. In terms of entertainment, we love movies and theater, and I'm a sucker for history and art galleries. My favorite tv shows have been or are dramas like St. Elsewhere, and NYPD Blue, Sopranos and more recently Homeland and Americans. I love quirky shows like Breaking Bad and Fargo, and comedies like Cheers and Seinfeld. I'm always reading something, most recently in preparation for our trip to Berlin, non-fiction such as Boys in the Boat, Hanns and Rudolf and In the Garden of the Beasts. So much to do and not enough time.
