Nora was the most gracious host. She was there to greet us and show us the ropes but gave us our space for the rest of the stay. Her home is wonderful and the top apartment was perfect for our weekend getaway. I would highly recommend staying here.
The reservation was canceled 5 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
My wife and I had a great time here. Nice private place near the redwoods/beach and dog friendly too, which was a big plus. She also left coffee and snacks, which I thought was a nice touch. I'd definitely come back.
Nora was a wonderful host. She met me at the door, showed me around, very friendly and accomodating. Loved her place, big comfy bed with a view of the water in the distance, easy access to everything, and she has delicious apples growing there!
Nora was great and so was the place, we wished we were staying longer than one night! The apartment is even better than it looks in the pictures, very spacious and SO cozy! We slept like babies and even though I'm not a big coffee drinker I just had to make a cup and drink it in the adorable little kitchen :)
JJ was great(filling in for Nora), friendly and helpful with local knowledge. This is a great little place that has it all, what more can I say, 5 stars!
We stayed here two nights and loved Nora's space. The apartment is clean and very comfortable. We didn't have the pleasure of meeting Nora as she was out of town, but her friend JJ was very helpful checking us in. He was a super nice guy, who gave us some food recommendations and left his number in case we needed anything. Nora was kind enough to check in on us via message, which was cool since she was out of town. We even got to briefly meet Lula who is the sweetest dog. Eureka was our base while we hiked around Humboldt State Park. We found good food, natural grocers and food co-ops in town. The entire town of Eureka is a state historical landmark due to the Victorian architecture all throughout town and it was nice driving around looking at the homes and Old Town, which fascinated me. I would not hesitate to ever stay in Nora's home again, lovely place.
We had a great time staying at your place! Everything was amazing! Loved the coffee and the apples!
Fabulous little apartment! I was only passing through (arrived late and left early), but I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and especially made use of the claw foot tub! It was a little chilly in the apt, but I didn't bother figuring out how to use the furnace. Eureka is foggy in mid September! Nora was completely welcoming, has the sweetest dog, and was entirely accommodating of my last minute, late arrival. If I ever come through Eureka again, I'll be sure to stay here!
Nora was a wonderful host. The apartment was very cozy, we loved it. Nora gave us great restaurant tips. We had easy access to the redwoods and really enjoyed our stay.
Thank You Nora - I hope everything went smooth during your stay and when we were out of town. We hope you enjoyed the rural nature of our place and your walks in the woods. Thanks for taking care of the cottage during your stay. Take care - David
We enjoyed meeting and hosting Nora. She was very communicative during the reservation and arrival process and left the cottage in great condition. We highly recommend her to other hosts.
