This loft was beyond beautiful. Kurt was so kind so accommodating and met up with me the night before to make sure I had the keys! I used the loft as a holding area for a music video shoot and we also shot an interior scene there is so much sunlight and space! Also the stairways are covered with beautiful art and it is just a super cool space! It was such am easy easy day thanks to Kurt's hospitality.
I used the studio space for a photoshoot for the day. Kurt was great and went above and beyond to accomodate my team and I!
I rented Kurt's studio for a photo shoot while in town, it was amazing! The space is really cool. Kurt is really nice, responsive and helpful. I had a really good experience, will rent it again next time I'm in town! Thanks Kurt for everything!
Our experience in Kurt's apartment has been awesome! He is a great host and he was always willing to help us in everything. The location is really good, just 2 minutes from the Jefferson stop of the L line and it takes 20 minutes to 14st/ Union Square.
I recommend Kurt's place to everyone!!
This loft is amazing and Williamsburg is def worth visiting. The loft is situated in a short walk from the subway so Manhattan is a 15 minute ride away. Kurt is very helpfull and he goes out of his way to make shure you have a good time.
This was my first experience with Airbnb and it was perfect in every way. The place is excellent and the view is breathtaking. The building might look industrial from the outside (not unusual for Brooklyn), but inside it was clean, modern, and very welcoming, The neighborhood is very safe - I was often coming back from subway in the middle of the night and never once felt unsafe even for a second. Subway is 2min away too and L line is extremely convenient. Kurt is a perfect host and I felt at home. He was kind enough to introduce me to many things about New York and even told me about (and helped me to get an invite to!) several art/industry events. I am a photographer and I was able to use the place for several shoots and the lighting in the place is wonderful - in September I enjoyed indirect sunlight before 1pm and in the afternoons - great contrasty sunlight with beautiful shadows from window frames (assuming it's sunny of course.) Absolutely amazing view of the sunset too. I would definitely recommend it to anyone and would definitely want to stay with Kurt again next time I visit New York.
Kurt was a friendly host, reliably there to hand the keys over when I arrived, and his loft truly is both massive and beautiful. It's close to a convenient subway stop and there are some nice places to eat within walking distance there in rapidly gentrifying Bushwick, or East Williamsburg as the marketeers are starting to call it. I'd recommend the place to anybody (as long as you don't mind some stairclimbing - it's a 4th-floor walkup.)
Kurt's loft is really amazing!! I didn't stay there but I used the loft during the day for 2 weeks, doing photography. Its clean and has a lot of natural light coming in, which was perfect for me. Kurt is also a great host, very kind, helpful and flexible. He was always there when i called or text for help. He also recommended restaurants to visit etc but I didn't get to because I worked all the time . I had a great time overall and thankful for letting me use the space. I recommend it to anyone looking for place to shoot in or stay in!! You wont be disappointed! Next time im in NY, I hope I can shoot there again.
Kurt is very kind, the neighborhood is interesting for art lovers, and considerably well connected to manhattan through the L train, which is just 3 blocks away. the Loft is just as it looks in the pictures, typical Brooklyn, industrial.
An overall great experience! Kurt was a terrific host.
My travel partner and I had a great one-night stay with Kurt on short-notice (booked same day). The location is indeed very convenient to public transportation in an artist-heavy industrial neighborhood. Carl and I spent most of our time in Manhattan so didn't get to explore the local neighborhood extensively, but there was a full-service grocery store and plentiful eateries in close proximity.
Kurt was an exemplary host - warm, polite with an interesting background and a good source of information on what to see and do in our limited time. Parking was convenient and secure, and the area was also great to ride bikes around (if you're confident navigating in city traffic).
The space would be ideal for an artist or someone with a project requiring an open workspace looking to spend some time in Brooklyn. As mentioned, the neighborhood is somewhat industrial and the building/loftspace reflects that, but that's likely a plus for most people looking for this type of BnB. The sleeping loft was a little smaller than I'd expected given the size of the rest of the place, but it was plenty sufficient and the expansive common area and great host provided for whatever room we would have wanted - there was plenty of room to bring our bikes inside for security and for a morning yoga session.
Summary: a great experience and I'd stay with Kurt again in a minute :-)
Muchas gracias por confiar en nosotros, fue un placer alojar a una persona tan agradable al igual que educada.
