I can't say enough good about our stay with the Trabuccos. Michele's parents were so kind and welcoming. They do not speak English (his mom speaks a tiny bit), but for us that was very fun, because we got to practice what little Italian we knew. But even if you don't know any at all, they can call Michele to help translate, which is what we did when we needed some directions into town. His mom was so warm and lovely. She made us a delicious Italian breakfast. The room was very clean and comfortable, and we were given plenty of privacy. It was a short bus ride into Venice. Michele gave very good instructions. There are restaurants and a grocery store minutes from the apartment on foot. Michele gave us a ride to the train station when we left. If we ever make it back we will stay here again! We just loved it!
Michele is a perfect host - and although we didn't meet in person this time, he made sure everything is well arranged and perfect. He left detailed remarks on the table about how to get to Venice and everything was ready and prepared when we arrived early afternoon. His mother welcomed us very warmly and made sure we have everything we need, constantly offering nice Italian coffee. And she made us a perfect Italian breakfast in the morning.

I really felt at home at this place.
Michele's dad picked us up from the station and in after 5 mins we were already at the house.
Michele's mom is so fun and feisty and served us perfect breakfasts. Her coffee is the best!!!
They provided us with maps and written instructions on how to get to or from Venice.
On the last day, the local transit buses were on strike so Michele's dad insisted on taking us back to terminal. :)
Very beautiful and homey place. RECOMMENDED INDEED!
Download offline (website hidden) maps for Venice. Or just get lost. There are lots of signs saying "TO RIALTO / TO SAN MARCO." You wil still get to your destination no matter what. :)
We had a lovely stay with Sonia and Ottorino (Michele's parents)! They were warm and friendly, and the room was big and clean.
We had our own, private bathroom, and great wifi. The bus to Venice is 3 minutes down the road, and we had no problems getting there and back. The buses run till nearly midnight, so we were free to stay in Venice the entire day!
Part of what made our stay so nice was Sonia and Ottorino's hospitality. In particular the lovingly prepared breakfasts, and warm smiles. They were always on hand to help us with the queries we had, and made us feel extremely welcome in their home.
I loved practicing my Italian with Sonia, who spoke slowly for me, and was very encouraging. They were warm and endearing, and made us feel right at home.
We would definitely recommend staying here for the true homestay experience!
We truly enjoyed our stay with Michele's family. His Mother, Father, and Brother were extremely kind, warm, and welcoming at all times. At one point in our trip, I fell ill, and Michele's Father even went out of his way to pick up medication from a pharmacy. His Mother and Brother also entertained us greatly with conversation and much laughter. We were served great coffee with light breakfast each morning, and Michele's Brother picked us up from the bus stop on the first day, and their Father dropped us off at the train station on our last day.. We highly recommend staying here, and should mention that the transportation is also very convenient and affordable.
I didn't meet Michele but both his parents were very kind and sweet. Michele's dad doesn't speak english but he was kind enough to take us from and to the train station. Michele's mom was very warm and speaks a little English. We also met Michele's brother who speaks well English and was also very friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. The bus station is very close and it doesn't take long to go to Venice by bus. Staying at Michele's feels like home. I highly recommand.
Our stay here was short but great! Although we did not meet Michele right away, his brother was a very gracious host throughout our whole stay- he even cooked is pasta for lunch when we arrived. He also helped us to buy bus tickets into Venice. Michele and his wife were also both very nice. We were provided with a very good breakfast and really everything we needed.
We did not get to meet Michele and his parents, but Michele's brother Stefano was there to welcome us. He is a lovely person, and is extremely helpful. We had a late check-in and he very generously offered us dinner. We also had a very early check-out (4:45 AM). He went out of his way to take us to the Mestre train station (about 15 minute walk), as we could not find any taxi at that early hour. Even though the rest of the family was on vacation, Michele took the time to give us a call to see if everything was alright. The place is in a very quiet neighborhood in Mestre, which is about 20-minute bus ride from Venice (bus service is frequent, with a night service as well). Given how crowded Venice could be in peak season, we are glad that we decided to stay here. The room was clean, with a private bathroom, and had a very homely feeling. If you want to stay with a nice and warm Italian family, this is your place! We strongly recommend it!
Michele and his girlfriend are a really friendly and considerate couple and it's a shame we've been away throughout most of the weekend, so we haven't seen them much. Definitely recommend as guests.
