Really great (website hidden) has done a FANTASTIC job with the interior design & decoration, and he's really thought of everything you might need: even down to the details like converter kits for international travelers (which I wasn't; I just noticed it). Mk is also very efficient about getting you in.
The neighborhood itself is gentrifying. If you're up for Upper East Side luxury this is not the neighborhood for you, But it is remarkably convenient: a sort walk to the Nostrand A train, which is express, and it is literally three stops from Manhattan. Also, there's a Long Island Railroad stop 1 block away.
The apartment is really comfortable. The bed is better than my own at home.
I want to hire Mk as my own personal design consultant!!
Nice place, just like the picture is nice. We enjoyed.
This was my first Airbnb stay and it worked out seamlessly. The space was clean, spacious, and exactly what I expected.
As some of the other reviews mentioned there is some pretty loud plumbing noises that go on so I would definitely recommend bringing earplugs if you are a light sleeper. Bed is on the firmer side, but comfortable enough.
I would absolutely book this apartment again and recommend it to others.
The place is great! As-photographed, quiet, comfortable, and (website hidden) was very accommodating and stayed in communication. Everything you'll need is in the apt and the laundry mat, grocery, and shopping are all near by for anything else you may want or need. It's also located near the cheapest gas pump on the north end of Brooklyn!
A lovely hideaway in a great neighbourhood. True - Atlantic Avenue is very ugly, but close by there are interesting stores in the Jamaican strip on Nostrand, the walk to Williamsburg was spectacular, and the A Subway is close by, with a quick express ride into the city. It was quiet and pleasant and comfortable.
Beautiful, clean, spacious studio - and yes, it's exactly like the photos!. It's a little difficult to find but Mk gave detailed instructions and I checked with (website hidden) street view before I arrived so I didn't have any problems. I had to give it 4 stars only because it's not an ideal location. The train stops were a little further than I had anticipated and it's not exactly a friendly neighborhood. Use the car service he lists, there are zero cabs that drive by and you won't be able to hail one. But aside from the location the unit itself was perfection!
The place is really cute, way larger than I thought, a short walk to the metro stop. The bed is comfortable, the kitchen has what you need to make breakfast or a quick meal. The area seems pretty safe even at night, there isn't much around there though. The trains didn't bother us, but traffic can go on until late at night and start early in the morning. Overall it was a good experience.
The apartment was incredible and (website hidden) was very responsive and helpful for instance when my folks didn't know how to use the apple tv. The only complaint I had was the ice out front was pretty bad, though the frequency of snow storms has been terrible.
Great apartment in a super location! Great restaurants and easy to walks to Soho, Noho, CHinatown and Lower Eastside. Very close to subways as well, highly recomend!
All good, thanks for the comfy bed!
We go way back to last century! My dearest friend with whom I've shared many adventures in this city and beyond. M is a true flaneur and downtown denizen who not only knows the best haunts there but also wonderfully obscure history of this town. Perfectly located in the heart of the East Village, the apartment is also a surprisingly quiet retreat. A brilliantly designed home with every convenience at your fingertips. And his long-legged stature is reflected in a regard for having plenty of room to sprawl--a true luxury in NYC.
