Hi everybody! I am a friendly progressive woman and a Toronto native, moving on into my early 60s. I have travelled to many places in the world, and am always very interested to meet people from everywhere. Toronto is said to be the most culturally diverse city in the world!
I am a social worker, child care worker and ESL teacher. I currently work for an organization that serves immigrants, and I organize and teach a child care training programme.
My house is in a wonderful neighbourhood of downtown-west Toronto. I cycle to work, and enjoy cooking, eating at fantastic ethnic restaurants, reading, film, music, art galleries and museums, walking in parks, going swimming. I love to go out and hear live jazz and I sing in a community choir. I do yoga and meditation. Some of my favourite times are when I camp and canoe in the Ontario wilderness of forests and lakes. But, not to give the impression that I am super-active, I can often be found reading and watching DVDs and falling asleep on my living room couch!
I believe that the purpose of life is to enjoy it, care for our gorgeous earth and nature, and make a positive contribution to the world while I am in it. Issues of social justice are important to me. I try to be optimistic and down to earth and hope I am not too obsessive about anything. My home is quiet, peaceful and the look of it reflects me. It is comfortable and a little cluttered. I am not a neat freak but it is clean.
If you stay at my home, you will enjoy peace, quiet and privacy, and the company of my sweetie cat, Zora.
