Our stay at the Maddalena was lovely. It began with a very warm reception by Francesco together with what turned out to be several excellent restaurant recommendations, continued with a beautiful room that exceeded the expectations set by the pictures and ended with assistance getting a taxi that rivaled the concierge service in the best hotels. Thank you again for making our stay in Rome that much more wonderful!
Relais Maddalena is an amazing Boutique B & B in the heart of the city.
It's just one block from the Pantheon and walking distance from the major historical sites! Francesco and his team work hard to ensure you have a delightful stay. They arranged for a driver to meet us at the airport for our late evening arrival, made wonderful restaurant suggestions, and arranged a cab to the train station. Breakfast was a delightful cotinental affair but with a flair, try the home made granola. Our room was beyond our expectations and perfectly appointed with custom headboard, paint and furnishings. The bed was comfy and the bathroom was exquisite.
We look forward to returning to Rome and would not consider staying anywhere but Relais Maddalena! Thank you Francesco and staff!
We highly recommend staying at the Relais Maddalena. It is centerly located in the historic district only walking distance to the Pantheon and Rocco church the Sta.Maddalena with excellent restaurants in the area. Our room was excellent with a king bed with mini-bar and flat screen TV& phone. The bathroom is modern with casading shower head. Our bedroom linen was change every day, also, we had bathroom robes and slippers. The morning breakfast was excellent with assortment fresh fruits, juices, warm pastries, cereals, chesses and cold cuts. The best coffee in Rome!!! It surpasses staying at a 4 star hotel in Rome!!!
The owner, who is fluent in English, was always helpful in questions we had about Rome!!!We stayed September 17-21,2010
