Alexandra and Nicolas live half time in Paris, we live in countryside most of time with our just born baby.
We know Paris quite well and will give you lots of good adresses concerning culture, food, hectic places to visit.
Comfortable, cosy flat in a great location.
5-10mins walk to Chatelet les Halles station - handy for airport and disney trains.
Located in side street off Rue Montorgeuil which was full of lovely bakeries, cafes and other food shops. Also nice supermarket - super u nearby.
Nicolas was a great host - helpful and speaks excellent English
we stayed 7 nights in Nicola's appartement and everything was great. the location is perfect, the place is very quiet, and most important for us - had many accessories for a small child.
Nicolas was friendly and quick to communicate, and was very helpful.
A good appartment to come back to after a long day in the streets of Paris...you have all the facilities for meals - and it's very spacious (unlike Parisian hotels).
Me and my family (wife and two kids) stayed for a week at Nicolas and Alexandra's place. Everything was clean and in order and we felt at home since the very first day. It's a typical parisian apartment, with a good kitchen, excellent bedroom and nice bathroom. Very silent, too. Kids loved to be back home after long wintery days outside. The place is very well located and only 1 min walk from montorgueil street, the place for foodies who have kids and find a good idea to have dinner at home. I would certainly consider to be back at the apartment in a future stay in Paris.
My son and I spent 5 nights in Nicolas and Alexandra's apartment at the end of September, it is located in a fabulous area in a quiet street yet right on the doorstep of a buzzing vibrant very Parisian area of Montorgueil.
Communication with Nicolas was always prompt, helpful, and he offered to tell us about restaurants and jazz clubs in the area.
The apartment was very large for Paris , very rustic had almost everything we needed , and of course it is not a hotel, more of a real Paris experience.
If you want to live as Parisians do in a wonderful area then this is highly recommended.
Our family of four (2 adults, 2 children) stayed at Nicolas and Alex's flat for 5 nights in August 2012. The place is a great size, clean, and in a terrific neighborhood. As others have said the location is perfect for gathering good food and eating at home as well as for sightseeing. It was wonderful to come "home" from a long day of seeing Paris and relax in such a nice space. Nicolas and Alex also helped arrange a taxi to the airport for us, which we greatly appreciated since we needed to leave really early on a Saturday morning. We would definitely stay here again if/when we return to Paris. Highly recommended!
Nicolas and Alexandra are great and fair hosts! We stayed in their place for a whole month. They gave us a lot of advices about living in Paris, good shops and restaurants. The apartment is beautiful, cozy and comfortable. It’s very spacious (not very common thing in Paris!). It can easily accommodate 4 people (2 couples) or a family. Appartment is old and beautifully decorated. I especially like the cute windows! Place is also very well equipped - we had absolutely everything we need to live – from iron and hair dryer to salt and spices in the kitchen. That all made us feel like it’s our own home. Just awesome!
Location is very nice – 2nd district in Paris, 10 minutes walk to Pompidou Center, 15 minutes to Notre Dame and the Seine. And there’s a fashionable, lively street just around the corner – Montorgueil – with a lot of bistros, cafes, bakeries, grocery stores, etc. I love it.
My friends and I will keep nice memories from Paris! Merci Nicholas and Alex!
Nicholas is a nice person and he speaks English better than most non native English/Americans. Great location. 2 min to Rue Montorgueil, a street full of cafe, restaurants, bakery stores, small super-makets, and fresh-product stores. Dine-out or cook from raw foods, you are all set! 3 min to Reaumur/Sebastopol Metro station, from where it is only 10 more min to Gare de Nord, the station for the fast Euro-Star international (or say inter-euro) trains. 10 min walk to see the Louvre. Another 10 min walk to go from the east side of Louvre to the west side of Tuilenes Garden (where is the Musee de l'Orangerie, the continuation of Louvre, Orsay museums). Say this, Nicolas apartment is about 1 km, or 2/3 miles from the "center" of Paris!
Inside the apartment, there is a small bedroom (could be a formal dinning room) with a futon bed. The futon is close to queen size bed and is a bit on the hard side but has good support. Then you enter to a bigger bedroom (could be originally the living room) with a comfortable bed (Queen sized). Then you go pass by the toilet room, then the bath-room (a good-sized). Finally you enter the living room with big size (The picture only shows half of the room). It is the old Paris building but the walls are clean and all the rooms have high ceilings. It is not just 9 feet high, it is like at least 11-feet high, much higher than most bedrooms in American homes (where homes are supposed to be bigger in size)! So you feel very comfortable in it! Overall, we enjoyed our 5-night stay and we would stay there again when we go to Paris next time. The stay was truly a "Paris" experience and we highly recommend it.
Beautiful home, just the way it is in pictures. Well-equipped and at an amazing location. There are some really nice cafes, patisseries, and shopping nearby. My parents visited Paris for the first time with us, and thanks to Nicholas's apartment, it became a truly french experience for them. As for Kapil and I, we would surely recommend this apartment. - Manasi and Kapil Deshpande.
We spent 5 great days in Nicolas apartment at the end of April. We were 4 adults and our child 1 year's old. The location in rue Saint-Sauveur is super, you're really in the pulsing earth of Paris, close to every thing you want to have in holidays. The apartment is very comfortable, in fact we had great french dinner at home all the time that was perfect for the baby. Nicolas has been very good host with precise and good suggestion and indication for having problem free days. Fully recommended.
Nicholas and Alexandra are great hosts. The well-equipped apartment is very good for a family like ours, with access between the rooms. The hosts took special care to offer structure for the baby of our daughter, which made us very grateful. The internet in the apartment is of excellent quality facilitating our work. The surroundings offer very good food, easy access, just 15 minutes walking to the Louvre. We were very happy to be well accommodated and centralized location. Thank you Nicolas and Alexandra. We will return!
