we are artist/doctors, married couple that live in Southern California and travel around the world to be with our friends!
We have been together for 30 years throughout undergrad at UCI and then UCLA med school. we have 3 kids who are older and in school.
Brian is a brain surgeon, film maker, installation artist, business man, music producer, and photographer.I am family practice MD, writer, performance artist, and painter.
6 things we "can't live without" would be family, friends, love, laughter, music, life experience, and creativity.
Our fav places to travel are exotic, faraway, with mystery and intrigue.
Fav books would be the teachings of the great spiritual leaders.Brian loves history.
fav movies would be documentaries ,especially the ones our friends have made.
Fav shows would be those that either I am in or my friends!
Fav music would be original singer/songwriter folk, sacred, or electronic,
to dance to.
We enjoy dancing, yoga, mountain biking, nature, Burning man,and festivals.
Fav food is home made in the kitchen with friends, consisting of fresh organic products made with love.
Not meat eaters.
As guests ,we are probably fabulous as we adhere to principles, some of these being, self reliance, community service, participation, leave no trace, and INclusion..We are comfortable in all situations with all walks of people.we host folks from all over the world in our own home. We live with intention and grace with open hearts.
our style of travel is free form, we rent bikes wherever we go,we are rarely inside except to download photos or change clothes(which, being a radical fashionista, I do often).
we are cognizant of our footprint on the planet and respect all living beings.
My mottos are "don't fight for it, love for it"..."never complain ,never explain"..."open your heart and take action in that direction"..." you create your own life, so live large without fear and in grace".
I would guess that Brian's mottos would include destruction of the ego and the importance of opening your heart .
We found out about airbnb through a friend and feel that it is a much warmer way of traveling the world.
Love and fire
