classic little venice beach apartment, loved it. will stay again.
This apartment is perfect for two who want to be right in the middle of venice action. A stones throw away from the beach, it had everything we needed for our trip. Great apartment, would recommend to anyone!
Robert's Loft Apartment right on Venice Beach was ideal and perfect for my stay. Seconds walk away from the infamous Venice Boardwalk and to great cafe's, restaurants and the fab Venice Ale Bar. Supermarket just down the road - walking distance to almost everything. The loft itself was stylish bright with the sun always shining in - Funky art decor & albeit I stayed on my own it can accommodate perfectly for two people and the bed was super comfortable. The view from the apartment of the Sea and Sand everyday was a real treat. Often I could hear and watch a saxophone played on a nearby roof by a neighbour - a great Bonus! Neighbours are friendly and the apartment has a Laundry room located on the ground floor. I often hired a bike from the Boardwalk and cycled to Santa Monica- the loft location is ideal for Beach living. Robert is also a great a host and was at hand if I ever needed any help - I was genuinely sad to leave the Loft and the Beach
I love the apartment, which is literally a few seconds walk to the famous venice beach strip. I enjoyed sleeping with the windows open so I could go to sleep and wake with the sound of the ocean waves. No complaints. Robert was very accommodating and a wonderful host. I would gladly stay here again. I had no problems with allergies like some people had mentioned. I could not have asked for anything more. I highly recommend...
Rob's apartment is definitely cozy and the location is great. If you have allergies, you might want to discuss with Rob first.
I loved, LOVED staying at Robert's place! I called it the "Cool Cat Apt" since I felt like I was in one of those 1960's beatnik/surf movies. The location is ideal-- especially if you don't have a car because you can walk to everything. There are great restaurants and stores nearby, and you're just a few steps away from the famous (and freaky) Venice boardwalk. The apt is clean, the neighbors are friendly and the view is fabulous. I worked on my computer much of the time that I was there, but looking out at the ocean made me feel like I was right on the beach.
rob saxon was a very easy guest-- respectful, clean and absolutely no problem at all-- a pleasure.
I've known Robert for 3 years and I trust his taste aesthetically more than anyone. When he found his loft last year, I knew it would be a special one. Unusual for Los Angeles in that it has immense charm, Robert's loft on the beach is a historical gem and perfectly reflects his enthusiasm for design and photography. As a very opinionated, and long time resident of Los Angeles, he's willing to provide recommendations on everything from the best Mexican food to the most accessible surf spots in Southern California. Well-traveled, responsible and pays close attention to detail (he's a producer), I recommend Robert without hesitation.
