My stay was awesome, i have stayed at Richards before and I am very pleased with the apartment; location is close to nyc, it faces the hudson river where i am able to jog the waterfront, and Richard is an excellent host who is available anytime.
richard kept in contact well and was quick to reply to messages/texts. he is very personable and comfortable to interact with. the apartment was clean and pleasant.
Richard's listing on the Hudson was in a great area and the apartment was pretty nice too. It was convenient, especially for the price, and the bus into New York City was accessible. The listing was as described and the only complaint I could have was that the futon to sleep on had some issue and had a slight depression in the middle. It was a relatively minor problem, given that I only stayed the night. All in all, it was a good stay.
A nice and clean appartment in New York west with a beautiful view of the skyline of Manhattan. Richard is very helpful. The bus takes about 20 / 30 minutes to Manhattan bus station.
We arrived by car and luckily could use Richards parking place in front of the house. The whole group of buildings are apartments in different sizes arranged directly at the river bank with a stunning view on Manhattan. Supermarket, restaurants, laundry services and Starbucks are in a short walking distance. It's a five minutes walk to the ferry (which takes approx. 5 minutes), the bus stop is directly at the street (the bus takes approx. 20 minutes). We met Richard only when we arrived, but we could contact him whenever we needed his help. His apartment is modern with a nice kitchen and a view to the garden and the river bank. We felt immediately comfortable and had a very good time there!
Rich's apartment is great: it is located in a really nice and save area with a stunning view over Manhattan and the apartment itself is very beautiful.
Next to the apartment there's a very good Chinese restaurant and a supermarket.
The bus 158 (NJ transit - metro cards don't work for those buses) to port authority starts and stops almost directly in front of the door. A bus ticket is 3.20$.
Going from port authority to riverbend drive you have to buy tickets at a ticket machine at the bus terminal. Going from riverbend drive to port authority you buy the tickets on the bus.
Within 20 minutes you reach port authority next to the time square.
I would definitely come back again.
Richards apartment was very great and we really enjoyed our Trip! Everything went fine and we can verify what the others wrote. The area is gorgeous, we always felt safe and there is security as well. The skyline view is breathtaking! All in all, Richard offers everything you'll need for a long or short stay!
Richard is a great host!!! We spent 4 days in his apartment from september 03 till september 07. Apartment is clean and very pleasant! The location is good and the place is very quite! You can simply get Manhatten using the ferry and enjoing a small water trip! Millions of thanks to Richard for this oportunity to spend an unbelivable time in NY!
Richard's apartment was absolutely beautiful and the view of the waterfront was stunning (the picture does not do it enough justice)! Although I did not get the opportunity to personally meet Richard, he was still very accessible via phone & email and made sure to accommodate my check in/out times.
The apartment was very clean with terrific amenities, and the location was perfect--bus, ferry, groceries, and more were all within a block or two. I felt very safe walking alone in the dark in the neighborhood.
All in all, I had an amazing trip. My only regret is that I did not stay longer! I could not recommend a more perfect place to stay if you are looking to travel into the city. I would not hesitate to book again with Richard if I am ever in the area again.
Richard's apartment was great for our family of 2 adults and children aged 5 and 8. It was very clean and well presented.
The complex has a pool and hot tub area which was a great way to wind down after a busy day in NYC. There is also a good supermarket 200m away. This area is super safe. Never felt like I needed to worry about personal security.
Getting there was simple. The 158 bus across from PF Changs is 3 minute walk with kids. The bus is. 3.20 per adult and free for kids under 44 inches. you can buy 10 passes for 27 dollars at the port authority. This is about 2 blocks from Times square. The ride is about 15 minutes and we always got a seat in the air-conditioned bus.
There is one Queen sized bed which is good and a leather sofa that folds out to become a bed. It was OK for our 2 children but not very comfortable for 2 adults.
There is a kitchen with all necessary utensils and equipment which was great for a midnight snack or breakfast. We ate out for all lunches and dinner.
Overall a great place to stay for 6 days.!
