My name is Jeff and I am a mid 30s male originally from the NYC area. A few years back I took a break from my career and indulged in wanderlust; spending about a year in Asia traveling through China, Hong Kong, Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Myanmar to name a few. Since then I've been mainly focused on my career - when vacation permits, I've been exploring lots of Mexico.
I was going through photos recently noticed that about 1/2 of them were pics of various meals that I ate. (Yes, I am THAT guy in the restaurant.) That pretty well summarizes what I choose to memorialize on the SD card - sunrise at Angkor Wat is stunning but I was equally enthused to recall that banana leaf salad I had near Luang Prabang.
These days I'm mostly closer to home and based in the Princeton, NJ area. Mostly I work - I'm rebuilding a 60 year old non-profit focused on making education accessibe to the blind and visually impaired as well as dyslexic learners. When not working I enjoy golf, acrylic painting, restaurants, culture, and somewhat following NFL football.
I've had a few experiences with AirBNB and they've been delightful. I wouldn't say it's yet my primary strategy for finding accommodations, but I am very much a believer in being a respectful traveler and a good citizen of the community. Though I am mainly a guest, I do have experience knowing what it's like to offer something as personal as a home to a practical stranger - during my wanderlust phase in the pre-AirBNB days, I sublet my NYC apartment for a year and so know what it's like to entrust someone into your home. Should we meet, I can promise that I will honor the AirBNB interaction and be a respectful, clean, and polite guest.
Thanks very much.
