Raito e un luogo molto gradevole e tranquillo. Poco fuori dai centri piu turistici della costiera amalfitana, raggiungibile in macchina o pullman.
We had the most wonderful time at John House. I's a true gem. Location is perfect. Almost right in the centre of the town. Three minutes, if that. Vietri sul Mare is a wonderful spot on the Amalfi coastline. The beach is about 15mins away by foot. Quite a few restaurants around you, as well as the bar for your morning coffee & croissant. Shops for all of your grocery needs are also right on your doorstep. Our host was super helpful. Salerno is about 3kms down along the coast. Definitely within walking distance as well, take the bus back as it is uphill. Buses were great and easy to use. This place is perfect for your home away from home.
Good place, good people. Amalfi coast is great to visit. Apartment is nice and clean, sofa was suddenly very comfortable.
Some people may not like renting the place without car: walk down to Vietri center is rather long and the road does not always have pedestrian section. No shortcut down. Buses go up and down though by the schedule.
Andrea is a great host and did everythign so we could be comfortable: he picked us up in Salerno and drove is back when we were leaving.
We had a fantastic 7 night stay in the apartment. The apartment was as described and had a fantastic view and was very well fitted out. Andrea, who manages the apartment, was so helpful and we feel that we are now friends.
We will definitely be back.
Andrea and his wife were such great hosts. They were waiting for us at the bus stop and walked with us to the John house, the walk to the house is lovely and shows the beauty of Vietri with its winding streets and stairs. Vietri is a beautiful small town along the Amalfi Coast and we loved it because it felt more authentic and much less touristy. And another big plus is the good connection with Salerno.
The house was perfect, small and cozy. It has a lovely big terras to enjoy a glass of wine and play a little game. We also spent an evening with the neighbours (they had a dinner party on the square in front of the house), it was al lovely night!
We definitely recommend the John House in Vietri sul Mare. A great homebase to explore the beautyful Amalfi coast.
We have spent a great and so pleasing time at the house in Vietri sul Mare.
If you ever wanted to experience how it feels to live right in the center of one of this great cities at the Amalfi Coast Andrea´s house is the house to go.
The house is like a private island in mitten of the historical center. Quickly reached by feet going through this great small Italian streets we felt really at home in this pretty house.
The nice and big terrace has become our vacation living room and we really enjoyed the centered location of the house.
15min walk to the great beaches of Vietri, 3 min walk to all important bus connections and nice food stores just around the corner you can really go there without car like we did.
Even the sometimes bad service of the Italian Train and Bus has been no problem for us, arriving with 2 hours train delay and no Bus going to Vietri any more Andrea quickly helped us by picking us up by car.
This was so great and nice, thank you Andrea!
The apartment is simple and clean. Andrea and his wife are very friendly! It is comfortable that you can park the car on own ground. That is a good thing because you need a car (or bus) to go to Vietri. At night there is quit a bit of noise due to the traffic lights located on the slope (in front of the terrace). All in all a good apartment for a reasonable price when you are planning to visit the amalfi coast.
