We enjoyed our stay at gracie and Ross place for our first visit to portland. The nieghborhood was great! Lots of yummy places to eat, nice shops and bars. Transportation to and from downtown and other parts of portland was super easy. Didn't see much of either ross or gracie but they we're friendly and helpful when around.
My friend and I had a great time staying with Ross & Gracie. We didn't see them much (it was a during-the-week trip), but they were helpful, their house was clean, quiet and comfortable. They are close to a VERY convenient bus line into downtown Portland. Ross & Gracie were super friendly and had some great recommendations for places to eat and hear music in the Hawthorne area. Definitely recommend staying with them!
Great location between SE Division Street and Hawthorne Boulevard. There are loads of great restaurants and bars in the area and Ross and Gracie provided a really helpful list of their local favourites. There is also a great supermarket near by that stocks awesome organic food. The number 4 bus goes past the end of the street and takes you right to the centre of town. Great shower and a really good base for exploring Portland. Thanks guys.
Ross and Gracie were very conversational, but respectful of guest's privacy. The only minor inconvenience for me was less space than I needed for storing ample clothes and luggage. Access to public transit via bus was easy, #4 Division takes you downtown in 20 minutes. For foodies, Division is chalked full of new restaurants - food truck operators moving to permanent establishments. Easy bus or ample walk toward downtown.
Ross and Gracie were great AirBnB hosts. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay in their totally cozy and artsy house. Generous people ready to let you have your space if you need or give you insights on the city if you need. I highly recommend!

We had a lovely experience staying with Gracie and Ross. The house was situated in a perfect location-a very close walk to all of the shops/restaurants on Hawthorne and SE Division, yet just far enough away to enjoy the quietness of the street. We spent most of our time out and about, enjoying the city .Ross was out of town for the weekend, but Gracie was a lovely and gracious host.
I would stay there again for sure.
Ross and Gracie are very kind and helpful hosts! Our room was cozy and clean. They even provided us with chocolate and neatly rolled towels for the shower. They were a delight to be around and were eager to give advice about portland and help us find whatever we needed around the house. Everything about our stay was enjoyable. Highly recommend!
Ross and Gracie were very friendly and have a great house that they have filled with their own art and style. We were in town for a conference, which kept us a way from the house a lot, but when we were at the house it was very comfortable and private. Their location is fantastic, in the middle of Hawthorne and very close to two major bus-line. Would definitely recommend and come again!
Ross was a good guest -- friendly, tidy, and no hassle.
I've known Gracie for almost my entire life and finally had the chance to visit her in Seattle. Not only is she a dear friend of mine, but she was an awesome tour guide while my husband and I and our friend stayed with her and her roommate Ross. Both Gracie and Ross are laid back and rather relaxed and quiet, yet inviting people.
Since Gracie and Ross both have their rooms upstairs the guest bedroom made for a rather private room, even though it is located close to the living room. SInce there is no tv in the living room, or even the house, you don't have to worry that there will be lots of living room noise. Instead, the lower level of the house is quite calming. Additionally, with all the original art work and exciting and different plants it's easy to get lost exploring all of the details of lower level of this home.
I should also mention the EXTREMELY COMFORTABLE MATTRESS!!! My husband I may have slept better while in Gracie and Ross' guest bedroom than in our own home.
Additional perks include: street parking was always available (free), nice food market within walking distance as well as shops and food to explore. Make sure to visit TarBoush (may need to drive, depending on the weather) for some excellent Lebanese food! We also found the food pods a fun thing to explore, since this was our first trip to Portland.
Thanks guys, we had an excellent stay.
Ross and Gracie are two great people that I've come to know. Both warm spirits and fun, I met them while staying over at their place with a mutual friend. They made my stay very comfortable, it was like having a second home.
