I created Robin's Nest is 1990 while we were in yet another, regional economic crisis. Got out of the corporate world to walk my own path. I began Robin's Nest in my 1895 Victorian Farmhouse in Houston's inner city (Now called the Museum and Arts District.). I started out with one b & b room and a part time job. As business improved, I took in more of the Farmhouse as a bed and breakfast.. Over the years, I've bought two more houses contiguous to the 1895 Victorian. Robin's Nest now consists of three historically significant houses setting side by side, c. (phone number hidden) and 1938, respectively. Starting out with one room, I now have 10 rooms/suites. I'm a lucky girl. God is good, every day.
I have great, long-term employees. My head housekeeper has been with me about 14 years, and my Assistant Innkeeper has been with me about five or six years.
Another passion is art.. I work in charcoal, pen and ink, pencil , acrylic and pastels. The Inn is generously sprinkled with my and other artists' works.
This is an excellent walking neighborhood. Public transit is ample. First class restaurants within walking distance.
We take great pride in our breakfasts. Fresh, healthy food. Nothing from a package or a mix. We are scratch cooks.
