The girls and I had a super stay, albeit a flying visit. The breakfast was super and Jill was able to provide us with some tips on places to visit the next day, where we could stuff our faces even more!
Beautiful home with lovely hosts. Very accommodating, and we couldn't complain about the wonderful breakfast we received in the morning. Gorgeous location, and very comfortable bedrooms.
We really enjoyed our stay with Jil and her family. They are very nice, friendly and gave us all the useful information. We had wonderful Thai food for dinner as Jil recommended and Jil made delicious breakfast for us. Most importantly, we were lucky enough to see the kookaburra and fed it in the morning! We are happy to recommend the kookaburra room to everyone!
We found our hosts very pleasant, helpful and entertaining. We were immediately made to feel at home, and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Any questions were fully answered and information enthusiastically provided. We were delighted that the gardens were so beautiful and expansive, and the abundant birdlife contributed to the serenity of the property.
The location was excellent - close to shops, and the wine tasting areas in the Red Hill area. The surrounding neighbourhood was picturesque, with well maintained acreage properties and vineyards. We were pleasantly surprised that the listing met such high standards, and enjoyed all aspects of our stay, including the wholesome breakfasts. We would definitely recommend this wonderful accommodation.
Jil and Paul were fantastic, friendly hosts. They gave us some great recommendations for food and wine in the area. The accommodation was excellent - serene, comfortable and in beautiful settings. Thanks! (And the recommendation for cranbourne gardens was spot on!).

Red hill is a beautiful and quiet place.JIL enthusiastically as we booked a local restaurants. Also together with us to taste the Chinese tea ceremony. They like amiable father mother kindly.Their GARDEN is really attract us, and the two lovable (email hidden)is is our journey in Australia is very unique and the promise of a memory.
We had a wonderful experience at Red Hill as Jil and Paul warmly welcomed us into the heart of their home for 6 nights in March. They have a beautiful home located among vineyards and rolling pastures, where we enjoyed waking to the tranquility of the attractive Mornington countryside and birdsong. Our hosts were generous and helpful with local knowledge and recommendations for daily itineraries to share. A shared breakfast was a great way to start each day, and we felt pampered every day of our stay. I did enjoy the morning coffee and the chats, and meeting kindred spirits.
Arriving via the sweeping driveway is a majestic feeling which is further reflected in the spacious accomodation encompassing the Kookaburra Room. All amenities were clean & practical with Jil's personal touch evident. The surroundings simply invite one to relax, the pool provided much needed cool-off during the heatwave conditions of our stay. Hooray for airconditioning and ceiling fans too!
Breakfast was better than at most hotels, always fresh fruitsalad, crusty bread, finest yogurt & juice.
Wonderful place, worth leaving the beaten track for and meeting the owners of the Kookaburra Room @Red Hill Sth.
Fantastic hosts, it was wonderful wake up to fresh bread. They were so thoughtful, offering us either a lift to our friends wedding down the road. Even after we declined and said we'll walk, they even provided us with a torch to find our way home at night as there is limited street lights.
My girlfriend and I had a wonderful time staying at Kookaburra Room. Jil and Paul are both very nice and their new little kitten Serge is delightful. I'm not even a cat person. The house is spotlessly clean & the breakfast delicious with the home made bread and jam the highlight. The home is nestled amongst a beautifully established garden with an abundance of wild yet tame birds such as king parrots coming in for a feed. The location is perfect if you're after visiting some wineries and the newly built Epicurean (a must visit) All in all a very pleasant stay.
Jil is very friendly and enthousiastic. She came with her husband and friends to Paris. They were respectful to our place.
I have no hesitation in recommending them as a guest to other Airbnb hosts
We have just had a wonderful night at Jil's fantastic B&B. - a very warm welcome to a beautiful house in stunning gardens. Jill and Paul make perfect hosts. Nothing is too much trouble and their pride in their beautiful house and gardens is fully justified. To cap it all, a wonderfully comfortable bed, followed by a scrumptious breakfast "en famille" with exotic birds in the background. No hesitation in recommending this to anybody!
