First off let me thank Leah for opening her home to us "Thank you". The flat was in the Kingston not far from Surrey, just outside of London on the the river. For where my group and I were going this was the perfect location. Midway between the city of London and Windsor Castle. Her home looked just like her photos. She was easy to communicate with and gave wonderful instructions. The temperature was warm, it was clean and there was plenty of space for 4 grown women and luggage. We were welcomed by freshly made Brownies which were lovely! If you are looking for a quiet place to just get away from the hustle and still be close enough to the action? Stay with Leah.
This was our first experience of using AirBnb and it worked out very well. Leah's place was very cosy and comfortable for our 4 day stay and much better than a soul-less hotel room. The flat is perfectly located for accessing central London, just a five minute walk from Hampton Wick station. Within an hour we could be in the West End. Communication with Leah was excellent and she was always ready with advice and assistance when I asked for it, but otherwise left us to our own devices. My wife plays piano, practices every day and really appreciated being able to play in the flat. The White Hart, just across the road does excellent Sunday Lunches and we didn't need a reservation. Easy access to the footpaths and cycleways alongside the river provides opportunities for relaxing walks and the shopping centres and big stores in Kingston are a few minutes from the flat if you want to go shopping. Highly recommended.
I have enjoyed my stay at Leah's place and there as it provides lot of space and it was in exact location I was looking for. There has been some noise from the street but other than that all was as expected.
Wonderful flat in a great town! We really enjoyed our time in Hampton Wick! Leah was an extremely responsive and gracious host. The arrangements made for us to get in and out of the apartment were very convenient and the apartment is very well represented by the photos. The town of Hampton Wick is charming and within a 2 minute walk you can find a classic English pub serving perfect pints and a pizza shop making pies until late night. Also within a beautiful ten minute walk across the Thames River Bridge you are in Kingston, a bustling town with a mall (email hidden) with anything and everything you need. Nothing but positives about this apartment. However, do be aware that his apartment is NOT in London proper and you actually need to take a 20 minute train (NOT TUBE) ride from Waterloo station. TIP: Buy a DAY TRAVEL PASS for about 8 Pounds (less for kids). This gets you on all trains and tubes for 24 hours. MUCH cheaper than buying a train ticket to Hampton Wick. Also, this apartment is VERY well situated if you are flying out of Heathrow. Buses leave from Kingston every 30 minutes straight there for 3 Pounds and change.
Leah was prompt in replying to emails and gave us all the information we needed to access the apartment as well as informational brochures for London. The location was perfect for us with the Thames good bus and train transport nearby. We were treated to strawberries, chocolate, milk, and coffee left in the fridge for us!
Leah is amazing! As is her home. It's in a great location and a quick walk right across the bridge from all the shops and restaurants in Kingston. The apartment itself was very comfortable and we enjoyed and used everything! I play piano so it was a treat to finally practice a little bit. And her dVD collection is PERFECT. We had a great stay and Leah is a wonderful host. Helpful, patient and even when we were really tough to deal with during the check out she was so nice and her father was so friendly. Would definitely stay there again-highly recommended!! Thanks Leah :)
Leah's flat is delightful. I was swimming in a race in the Thames that ended literally a two-minute walk from Leah's building, so for us this was astoundingly convenient. Add to that a warm and inviting space in a quiet building on the river, in a quaint town a short walk from the train to London, and we were very happy indeed. If you are staying here as a base to explore London proper it might be a bit of a trek each way, but not unmanageable and the region around Hampton Court is definitely worth exploring. We had no problems at all finding and getting into the flat, and Leah was unfailingly helpful keeping in touch via email for setting up the let and any questions during our stay. All told, a wonderful evening in Hampton Wick on the Thames - thanks so much Leah!
Leah's flat was perfect. I chose this flat for its location, and I'm glad I did. We went to Hampton Court Flower Show, and right outside her flat on the water, was the ferry that dropped us there.
The flat was larger than expected, it had everything we needed (and more) and felt like home. We all had a very comfortable stay and enjoyed our two nights here. She was a great host and I'd stay here again. How many hosts leave Cadbury's Flakes and strawberries in the fridge for their guests? She even offered tips on things to do and where to go. Helping me organise my family to get to Kew Gardens the following day. The latest issue of Time Out on the coffee table was a nice touch, along with many leaflets for the surrounding area.
I'd recommend staying here, and having a lovely meal at The Foresters pub on the high street in Hampton Wick. Plus, any boat trip from the doorstep is worth doing weather permitting.
Leah's flat was wonderfully convenient, comfortable and well equipped.
Even though we didn't get a chance to meet Leah, she left easy to follow instructions and complete contact information in case we needed anything.
We'd highly recommend the flat!
We thoroughly enjoyed Leah's flat. It was larger than we expected and ideally located for Hampton Ct. Easy to catch the train and bus and walk over the bridge to Kingston.
Leah gave excellent directions to find the flat and precise instructions for internet, etc. We were even left strawberries and chocolate! How great is that?
The flat was very clean and well kept. We certainly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend.
Thanks, Leah. Wish we could have had the opportunity to meet you.
Perfect house guests, discreet when you need them to be and otherwise great conversation.
Leah and Tina were the perfect guests - communicated well, super friendly and left the apartment in a great condition - would definitely recommend them as guests and they are welcome back anytime !
Leah and Tina seemed super nice and were really tidy, polite and respectful. I hope they had a rock'n'rolling good time on Sunday. I'd happily have them stay again and would recommend them!
Leah was a great guest - she let me know when she was planning to arrive a few days in advance and kept to it. She was very friendly and complimentary about my cottage and left the room extremely tidy. Perfect guest!
Leah & Tina were lovely guests. They were incredibly quiet and considerate and very pleasant to hang out with. We would gladly have them back in our home!
