I am very sorry but I am the bearer of bad news. But I must cancel all reservations immediately.

In the past week I have had a few guests go up to my landlords house and think it was my apartment and surprise and then talk to him.

My landlord is Russian and wasn't entirely clear when I was telling him that i had guests staying at my apartment what that meant. He is retired and not that "savvy" with the internet.

In any case after the conversation he had today with a tenant he called my and is very concerned over the safety for him because of people who he thinks are unscreened complete strangers who will be staying at my partment and the liability involved. I could not convince him that AirBNB was safe at all and he does not want me renting this property anymore.

I do not have things in my lease and I am sure I could fight it and disregard his wishes, but if he says that he and his wife feel unsafe than I have decided to respect their wishes and cancel all reservations immediately.

In the end this is my fault, I did not properly communicate the AirBNB site and what it meant right from the beginning. He still would not have understood and probably would not have let me rent and I might have avoided this situation somehow.

I have parked my listing as invisible and marking all dates as booked effective immediately.

I am so sorry for the inconvenience this has caused. I have just contacted AirBNB and they will be cancelling the reservation for you. They have also escalated the issue to a senior manager to work with me on getting my other reservations cancelled. I will be incurring a $100 dollar cancellation fee per reservation from what they are saying and my ability to earn money on AirBNB in the future will be impaired. UPDATE: AirBNB was awesome and took it easy on me and only charged me one $100 dollar fee since I contacted them immediately. Thanks AirBNB!!

I am not sure what I an do to help you find another place on AirBNB. I can certainly help search and find a place with you so please let me know if you would like me to do that.
