Thank you for your comments but there are some things that need to be clarified. For starters yes the sheets pictured are the ones used in the room but of course we wash them after each guest. There is no lock on the door but there is a closet with a lock and key where you can store your valuables. As you had mentioned this room has a fire escape and by law cannot be locked by key. We ourselves do not lock our rooms. We have had over 300 guests stay with us and neither safety or security have ever been an issue. Our rates vary between 99$ to 135$ per night which is a very competitive price for a room with its own private bathroom. The holiday inn down the street charges 250$ a night and if you do a quick search on Airbnb for our neighborhood you will see that our rates are comparable to other private rooms that do not offer your own private bathroom. We do not live in Chinatown but we are very close about a 5 min walk. We live in the Lower East Side one of the cities most desirable areas for young people. We are also 5 min away from 7 different subway lines making us a perfect location to explore all the cities attractions and sites. We are in walking distance to Soho, Little Italy, the East Village, and Chinatown. By metro we are a 20min ride to Times Square, Central Park, and the Empire State Building to name a few. In the future I would suggest doing some research on the neighborhood before you book a stay. We enjoyed hosting you and wish you luck on your travels.
Thank you for your kind review Jordan!
It's been a pleasure hosting you, and we would do it again in a heartbeat.
Sorry about the internet, it's actually very fast normally but needed to be rebooted, and since you didn't tell me about it being slow I wasn't able to help you reboot it so it would return to normal.
It's also been very cold here, and because of the cold temperatures we've kept the heat on rather than need to turn it off and on again.
I hope to hear from you in the future and have you stay with us again!
