I'm a mature, single GWM who lives in a lovely two-bedroom apartment in the Stapleton neighborhood of Staten Island. I live here with my 6 year old Miniature Schnauzer Smokey.

I had great time staying at Jonathan place. Room was comfortable. I had good night sleep. Jonathan was very friendly person. I loved his dog(even if I have some fear of the stranger dogs:)) Jonathan was very accommodating. I would recommend his room for sure.
I went to Staten Island on a business trip and had a very short stay at Jonathan's place. Jonathan is a very nice and responsible guy. I was supposed to arrive late and Jonathan made sure that he was home for my arrival. Everything was as described. The room was clean and cozy. I needed to iron my shirts so he left me an iron and iron table. Overall, I recommend Jonathan's place to everyone who plans to stay in Staten Island. Hope to see him again.
Decided to spend New Years Eve in NYC with my girlfriend. I drove from Indianapolis to DC and then to Staten Island. I chose the place because I had not visited Staten Island before and we would have to ride the ferry into Manhattan; a break from the ordinary. Jonathan was a good host. He left us a parking spot by the apartment, had fresh towels for us, and made us coffee and banana bread on our first day. We were away so we didn't really get to know him. The room was cozy but we both slept fine in the Queen size bed. The bathroom was shared but we didn't have any problems. The shower was hot and there was wifi but there was no microwave. Jonathan has a dog who we couldn't seem to befriend but it was fine for a short term stay. There are bodegas nearby for small purchases, including a metro card. The Sri Lankan restaurant around the block is fantastic, I highly recommend it. The pizza shop was not bad either. Neighborhood seemed to be safe. We got on the bus from two blocks away and then got on the ferry (it's free) to Manhattan. This was only my second experience on airbnb. For a few days this was an acceptable accommodation. Note that because of the distance it can be a chore to get into Manhattan or other parts of NYC. I would probably not stay here again only for that reason and perhaps because of the dog.
I enjoyed staying at Jonathan's place on Staten Island. The room is good value for money, and perfect for people looking for a place to sleep while going out during the day exploring the island or Manhattan.
Public transport was easier than I expected; there's a bus running every fifteen minutes two blocks away that either takes you to the ferry or (in the other direction) to a crossroads where you have lots of X buses going to Manhattan (and this is sometimes faster than taking the ferry)
I'm glad I got to see Staten Island, I should come back and visit more of it.
Jonathan was very helpful in picking me up from the airport and helping me get oriented to the neighborhood. Thank you Jonathan; your furnishings are simple but you provide a very welcoming feeling.
We stayed with Jonathan and Smokey for a week while waiting for our new apt to be ready. He was very welcoming and answered questions promptly before we confirmed our booking. We were commuting to Manhattan for work every day and found the buses and ferry frequent and easy to get to. The house has a lovely small yard to while a way a sunny afternoon or evening, the bedroom is a good size and comfortable, the bathroom has a great shower, and Jonathan was an entertaining host - full of restaurant recommendations and ideas for places to visit. He is a relaxed, easy person to spend time with, and a fantastic cook. Smokey his dog also gives the best hugs! We would definitely recommend him and use his guest room again.
Only there for a short while, but Jonathan was a charming and funny host, considerate and full of (website hidden) was a pleasure and privilege to visit him and his lovely dog. A lovely neighborhood with good facilities.
Clean room. Nice man. Everything as in description
Jonathan is so easy going. This is our second time staying with him. We like the place a lot. Parking has never been an issue. Coming and going is fine. The room is a good size for NYC and is very clean. This is a space for sure that you will enjoy. We like Jonathan a lot and feel like he is one of the family.
Stayed with Jonathan during the summer. The room was cozy and private and the bed was comfortable. Jonathan was very welcoming and hospitable. He offered guidance on local places for meals as well as overnight use of his fridge. He is also knowledgable about Staten Island. Would stay again.Thank you Jonathan.
Jonathan is a great guest, I highly recommend !!!!
