David is a great host, good communication and checked that everything was ok when we moved in. The location is great, close to shops but also close to trails through the woods. Highly recommended.
Very nice quiet little hideaway. Convenient and free G-bus over the highway gets you to UNC-Chapel Hill campus.
It's a quick walk to Battle Park which is good for a run or walk, although take a map or phone as exiting from the wrong place will get you lost.
David was nicely accommodating to our needs. The place was clean, and David also checked in to make sure we were doing well! The location was convenient but a little on the low end side. All in all, a good value for the money.
David and I met up as planned after I flew in. He took me by the apartment and we went over a few items and I did not see him again during my stay. He did call once to see about what I should do with the key upon departure.
The apartment was fine. It was sparsely furnished but it was certainly adequate for my needs. I would have preferred to have some sort of TV in the place but it was fine without one.
I would definitely consider staying there again if my travels takes me to Raleigh in the future.
My roommate and I stayed with David for two weeks while we waited for our apartment to be available. The place had everything needed from plates to bedding, and plenty of space. David even got an additional bed for the second bedroom once he knew we were coming.
David was incredibly nice and did everything he could to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. Anytime we had a question he was very quick to respond. He was also very flexible about check-in and check-out time and worked around our schedules.
I would recommend David's place to anyone looking for temporary housing no matter how long or short the stay!
David's place was great, and David is a really nice guy. My partner and I stayed there for five days, it was great. Clean, comfortable, convenient to RDU/Chapel Hill area. Another guest had just stayed a day or so before us, and David made sure the place was cleaned, fresh bedsheets, and such before we arrived. All in all, I had no complaints!
David's place was conveniently located near all the major highway exits and was great for easy travel to Downtown Durham and Downtown Raleigh. David was very accommodating as a host and provided all the basic essentials for a comfortable stay. (clean towels, bed sheets, kitchen ware, even beer!) The apartment is very minimally furnished but still comfortable. If you enjoy apartment style-living and quiet neighborhoods, I recommend staying at this place.
We were very pleased to meet and spend some time with David and his lovely wife, Lisa, and hope they can come again when the river is higher and they can really get some canoeing on the Black River. Floating down in rafts and tubes are fun but slow. They were excellent guest and left the place very clean and gave us some advice on hosting, which is always appreciated. David even helped with our computer which was having issues and he was able to find the problem! WOW! It was a beautiful weekend and we hope they return sometime.
