Hi! I am a real estate professional who occasionally rents out my apartments to short-term travelers.
My sister and I stayed for a month, the apartment was perfect for our needs. The location is the biggest selling point! It is close to the Natural History Museum, Central Park, the subway, and great restaurants. Brian was an excellent host, very easy to communicate with.
I stayed 6 weeks in Brian's studio for work and everything was exactly as described. The room was more than enough for me and Brian was very convenient for the check-in and the check-out. The appartment is a little bit nosy because on the 1st floor, but nothing too serious
The location is perfect: one block from Central Park, close to many restaurants, bars, etc. and one block from 2 subways lines (B&C).
I would definitely come back here if I could !
Overall we had a wonderful experience staying in this apartment for 3 months. Brian had the apartment all ready for us to move in, and throughout took care of the few minor problems that arose (ex. leaky shower) relatively promptly. The apartment was stocked with all the necessities and then some, which really facilitated our move. I definitely recommend this apartment and renting through Brian.
I stayed at Brian's for two months including the NYC heat wave, and it was amazing. The apartment is furnished and decorated just enough to feel comfortable but it doesn't make the space feel cramped. There was plenty of room, it stayed cool with the AC, and my dog enjoyed meeting everyone (two and four-legged) in the building as well. Friendly area, 1/2 block from Central Park, 1 block from subway, and the buses on the UWS/crosstown are easily navigated as well from here. The apartment faces the back of the building with a good view of a lovely (quiet) courtyard. Brian was accommodating and very easy to contact but not overbearing or in-your-face at all... the perfect host! I would recommend Brian and this apartment, and I would try to stay here again as well!
I've been there for almost two months. That place is simply awsome; the apartment is big enough and I had really good time there. The place is extremely close to the subway (less than one block) and central park (perfect if you like jogging as me). Everything works great, there are a lot of Bistrò, supermarkets and every kind of services around the corner, there is also a self service laundry some blocks away. Brian's been great, you can find him all day long.
If I come back again in NYc I'll try to get this place again, beyond any doubt.
My friend spent 3 months in this apartment. This place was our perfect home! We loved it and now we miss it. Brian was really nice and helpfull everytime we needed him. The place was clean, we had everything we needed, and everything worked. Also, Brian gave us clean towels and brand new bedding. We dont have anything to conplain about. It was a great experience and that made NY even better. (Oh and if you are worried about the stairs, dont be! Its a great exercise and makes you feel less guilty for eating sweets!!! Hahaha)
The apartment is great. It is close to everything. Our stay was pleasant. Certainly, we will use the services of Airbnb on other occasions. Thanks.
A great studio apartment in the UWS. Very quiet neighborhood and equally quiet building. I stayed here for 2 months, with my small dog, while working in NYC. Close to Central Park, AMNH, and many other attractions. A block from the subway (B & C line). Many restaurants nearby with ample amounts of delivery options. The apartment was clean, supplied with fresh linens, plenty of hot water, dishes, utensils, cookware, etc. Brian was quick to assist with any issues with the apartment.
There were a few drawbacks:
You share the Internet with the building, I'm pretty sure the router was on the 2nd or 3rd floor, so the Internet from the apt was spotty & slow at times.
Just a word of warning for those using AT&T for cell service, for me it was difficult getting and retaining a signal in the apartment.
While the stovetop worked, the oven did not. I didn't learn of this until I checked in. Brian stated that he could have it fixed, but I never pushed the issue. When cooking for one, I rarely use the oven.
Overall it was a pleasant stay and I would highly recommend it!
Staying at Right by Central Park! Renovated! was what I expected in terms of transportation, services and commerce, since I stayed at 81st last year. The subway is around the corner, there are plenty of restaurants, delis, stores etc nearby. Great location! Brian was a fantastic guy! He was always accessible via SMS or voice. I must say that although the apartment is fully equipped, it is NOT renovated. Besides that, the bed is a little noisy (it didn't bother me much actually) and the sofa in the living room could use a little cleaning.
Hi! Our journey was great even if Sandy was there! The studio was well situated and all comfort! Near Central Park and Museum of Natural History. Subway is right the corner. Try it! :-)
