I'm a Portland, Oregon, native who's lived in the Bay Area, Austin, and have been in New York for five years. I'm pretty low-key, easygoing, fun. I'm also an NYC food and drink writer, so if you want to know where to eat/go out, I can help!

Great apartment in a super cool neighborhood. Host was communicative and responsive at every step along the way! Thanks Jenny!!!
Pros: Jenny was a great host. Any question I had she got back to me right away. The apartment is in a hip location with great bars, food, shopping minutes from the apartment. Very convenient.
Cons: The apartment was noisy at night because of the area. Plus that's just NY. The internet never really worked. And we had some trouble locking the front door.
The apartment was in a great part of town. Jenny left the keys for us and we had the place to ourselves for the week. The area has lots of cool hipster bars and restaurants. Felt like stepping out into a music video when we got out on the street. It was convenient and easy for us to get to Times Square where our conference was. Jenny was OK about a last minute addition which we appreciated.
Only small problem was that the WIFI stopped working for some reason, but we had our own mobiles / cell phones so that was ok.
Everything was perfect. Very nice apartment, great location and very clean.
Would stay there again.
Like any Airbnb, there are pros and cons:
Pros: Jenny is a great communicator.
The two bedrooms make it a great value.
It's in an active, walkable neighborhood, close to the F line, lots of cafes, restaurants and some galleries.
The beds are comfortable.
There's a large collection of cookbooks to browse through.
Cons: We could not connect to the internet, despite instructions to unplug the modem & router. It never worked.
The door to the apartment is tricky to unlock from the outside.
The bathroom door does not shut properly.
The bedroom near the street is very noisy at night.
There is no TV (not necessarily a con, but sometimes you just want to chill with a TV)
Overall, a good value in a good neighborhood. I think all the cons can be rectified, except for the noisy bedroom. But, hey it's NY!
It's a very clean and cozy house. Host was very gentle and nice. I got a memory with perfect satisfaction in New York!!! Thank you, Jenny :)
We had a great time at Jenny's place. The apartment was cute and comfortable. We loved all of the travel and food books. The neighborhood was great. We ate at Prosperity Dumplings twice and had coffee at Atlas every morning. The Lower East Side is hip, but still has a real an old NYC feel. Loved it and already miss it.
Pros: Accessibility to LES, SoHo, Essex Market and subway lines; ease of key pickup and drop off; size of bedrooms; marketplace pricing
Cons: Significant late night street noise even with closed bedroom windows; broken and dim lighting throughout apartment forcing a visit to the hardware store to replace lights; no suitable eating area, strictness of entry and departure times
Jenny's place was rad! Couldn't be in a better location in LES either. Tons of bars and restaurants + only a few blocks from the Essex station. Would definitely stay there again.
Apartment is in a great location right next to local restaurants and bars. Jenny and her helpers are quick to respond to any questions about the city and anything regarding apartment. Promise anyone will enjoy this location and the hospitality coming along with it.
