Judie was a great host, and her apartment is awesome!
My girlfriend and I stayed in Judie's Brooklyn apartment for 4 evenings while we visited NYC from San Francisco and it was perfect for us.
Not only was the apartment immaculate, but Judie made sure that she provided every detail to assist her visitors and make for a most enjoyable stay: from the subway maps, to the local restaurant menus, to the tips on how to get around.
The location of the apartment is awesome if you're looking to spend time in Manhattan - hop on the Q and you are in Midtown within 20 minutes.
Judie was both efficient and very kind to us during the stay. The photos reflect the place very well: extremely clean with lovely decor. The apartment was very close to lots of shops, cafes, brooklyn museum and 3 subway lines within 10mins walk. Our first Airbnb experience couldn't have been better!
We had a great time in the USA (it was our first time)...thanks to Judie!
It was also our first time renting via Airbnb and everything was OK!
Judie was kind and enough discrete to make us feel we are at home. We really appreciated our discussions about health etc...
Like we said at our arrival, "the apartment is just as the pictures on Airbnb"..."No surprise"!
Everything we needed was there, inside (comfort...) or outside (subway, food shops...) the Jewel Boite.
We definitely recommend this apartment...but not to much, so that we could find the place yet available for the next time! ^^
Thanks Judie and take care!
Judie was awesome, and the place was very nice. She provided everything we could need, and the location is impeccable for Brooklyn. We would definitely stay with her again!
Had a wonderful stay in the Jewel Boite. Judie met and oriented us to the apartment even though we were an hour late!!! Then she left us but was still available by phone/e-mail for questions/issues. I called her once for clarification--left a voice mail and she returned my call quickly. Later in our week stay, she checked in by text. The Jewel boite is just that. A lovely clean-lines space with nice things--and quite quiet and peaceful. The place is very quiet for a New York City space on a low floor on the street. Convenient to take-out/delivery and sit-down restaurants as well as the Brooklyn Museum, Prospect Park and Park Slope shopping. And a hop and a skip to a number of subway lines to Manhattan and other boroughs. I used to live in this neighborhood and loved it because it's quiet, close to everything with a nice mix of folks living there.
The air conditioner makes the place just cool enough. That worked for me.
The foam bed pillows could have been more comfortable, since I prefer down. Otherwise the bed and linens were nice and comfy.
Well appointed, easy to work in kitchen, although the most we cooked were sandwiches.
This place is probably best for folks who don't need every modern convenience (no microwave, but a nice toaster oven; no coffee maker, but French press) but want a comfortable, nice place to stay.
On a side note: Judie is a wonderful massage therapist. I highly recommend her.
It was my first experience with airbnb, and there are not other words to describe it: just GREAT! The apartment is very nice and comfortable, but in particular I appreciated Judie's kindness and flexibility when I needed her help. Thanks Judie!
