The weather was just not agreeable for the pool water to feel pleasant at 85 degrees. I feel bad that the December weather wasn't cooperating. When it is that cool and breezy outside it just isn't warm enough to be in the water. Much above 85 degrees and you are basically trying to turn a 25,000 gallon pool into a hot tub.
Check in is at 4pm. I was not aware of an early check in request. If this request was made via email without hitting 'reply all' then that could have been the source of the miscommunication. This is the last communication from you about what time you wanted to check in:
We won't be arriving until late Wednesday so it would be ideal to have the pool only heated for Thursday and Friday. It can be off on Wednesday and Saturday. Is that doable?"
That being our property manager was correct in having your partner wait. At 2pm my wife and I were still cleaning from the previous guest. I also met your partner personally less than 5 minutes after he arrived and he was very pleasant and did not make me aware that there had been any issues. I am sorry there was a miscommunication. Normally our property manager is very professional. I am sorry you had a bad experience.
