Andrea is a very attentive and nice host. The apartment is nicely located at one of the channels in Navigli. Just outside the door you have multiple aperitifo opportunities, whereas most of the action on the street you do not hear inside the courtyard. In our view there was no noise problem (even during a world cup). The apartment offers everything for the basic needs and is close to a supermarket. We enjoyed the open atmosphere and smaller shops in navigli a lot and Andrea answered all our open questions. We can definitely recommend this place for a weekend trip to Milan.
The place was quite nice, more spacious than expected, and the neighborhood was absolutely perfect. Andrea was there to meet my friend who came a day earlier than I did and gave he us some good tips about where to eat and where to find the best gelato in the city (Cafe della Musica).
I feel that he should have forewarned us though, about scaffolding enveloping the entire building and workmen who started their daily shifts at or before 8am, which meant not only a lot of noise, but actual people working on or walking by your windows. The weather was already quite warm but we couldn't really keep the windows and/or the shutters open, which made the place feel stuffy and slightly claustrophobic, not to mention dark. Despite having to keep the windows closed for the most part, the place was filled with dust within days just from the work. It would have been much better to know about this situation in advance so we could have found another place for our stay, or if that wasn't possible, perhaps get a discount on the not inconsiderable daily charge. I'm sure this situation is temporary, but it was our bad luck to have to encounter it. The beds were not the most comfortable either, but they sufficed.
Andrea was slow to reply when I was trying to arrange check out and didn't show up at the appointed time, so I had to just leave the key in order not to miss my flight.
All in all, not a perfect experience, but not a total disaster either. Given better circumstances (no building works), I'm sure it would have been more than ok.
Had a very pleasant stay in this cute little attic apartment. Air conditioning was a huge bonus given the summer temperatures in Milan. Andrea was very helpful and accommodated our requests to the full. I would not hesitate coming back.
We really enjoyed our stay at Andrea's flat. It's really artistic, clean and tidy. Comfortable beds, towels included, large bathroom. Comfortable enough for 4-5 people. The kitchen was well equipped for the 4 days we had there but we didn't actually cook - plates, knives and glasses were enough. There was wifi although it was turned off at first so my recommendation will be that the host to check it regularly. The flat doesn't have living space with sofa and TV which I think is only for the best.
Still the great part of this apartment is the neighbourhood - old, Italian style, very nice and calm. Cafeteria and Carrefour right next to it, 10 minutes by walk to metro and train stations.
Negative part is that the community fees are not included and there're check in /check out fees for the weekend but still it compensates the fact that Andrea picked all 4 of us with our luggage from the station and then drive us back there when leaving. He's a nice, helpful guy, answering all of our questions during our stay. I will definitely recommend him and this flat to friends.
The apartment is small but completely self-sufficient, and the location is great! Definitely better for a couple than two friends. If you are considering a 2-3 star hotel, I highly recommend this apartment! Thanks Andrea!!
Stayed at the flat for a week with my girlfriend.
The loft is good, the same as at the photos, the location is perfect (2 minutes from metro, the same metro-line with "Duomo" station).
Andrea was always avaliable for quastions.
So I can reccomend Andrea and the loft.
Andrea’s apartment is one of the more reasonably priced places to stay in in Milan. His apartment can fit up to 5 people, with 2 double beds and a single bed. It was reasonably huge enough to fit a group of 4 of us. However, the host’s response is slow and not really helpful in providing us with necessities such as toilet paper and washing liquid for dishes. It is ridiculous that the apartment does not provide washing liquid for dishes and kitchen condiments (salt, sugar, pepper etc) even though cooking facilities are available. Moreover, the wireless connection did not work on the last day for us. Also note that there are additional charges for checking in to his apartment on weekends and other charges! (Please check the house rules, as he did not include it in the description.) Overall, his apartment (email hidden) to stay in but may not be ideal for families who may wish to (email hidden).
We loved being in (email hidden)ly location. And the great shower (email hidden) has all amenities you need . Andrea is super chilled and friendly as well as happy to answer any questions you have !
We spent 3 great days in Milano in Andrea´s studio. I have to admit that we expected a bit bigger place (there is only 1 room and a small bathroom) but for a shorter stay and 2 people that are glad to be together it was just perfect :) I don´t have any other comments for the place - the location is great in the area close to the center (20 min walking, 5 min by metro) with lot of bars, the night streets are full of young people hanging out so if you want to feel the atmosphere of non - touristic part of the city this is definitely a way to go.
But what I really want to point out is how Andrea has been helpful. I lost my passport in the bus from the airport and he really helped me to communicate with the bus company, calling them over and over so at the last day of our stay my passport was found and returned to me. I am really glad that we chose this flat to stay - you have not (email hidden) in a great location but also a host that cares and do his best to help you. Grazie Andrea!
