Tivemos uma ótima experiência neste apartamento, cujo ponto alto é a sua excelente localização.
This was a fantastic location. The view was incredible, just as promised. There is even a wonderful place to eat right downstairs in the same building. There are many great spots within easy walking distance. The front bedroom can be little loud with street noise and the morning church bells, which are beautiful but a bit startling the first time we heard them, but the back bedroom is very peaceful and quiet. Would definitely stay here again!
Great location and value for money !
Location wise is incredible. If you expect quiet then forget it but even us middle age people with teenagers we loved it. Location location location
Francesco's flat is amazing - and HUGE! We absolutely loved having all the space with our family of 6 adults. The home has a full kitchen as well as a huge dining room table, so for the first time during our trip we stayed in and cooked. Wonderful. Just a block off Ponte Vecchio, the location is perfect - all the major sights were just a short walk away. We didn't meet Francesco, but Rashib met us and ensured we knew where everything was and that we were comfortable. Would definitely recommend this flat to anyone visiting Florence.
Didn't meet Francesco when checkin, but we comminicated via watsapp which was fine. Shibin, an indian guy assisted us with checkin. The location was great! It's just a about 10 minutes walk from the train station, no turnings, just walk straight, it's so easy!! There's a lift but have to walk up quite a fair bit before reaching. Warning - the lift is tiny, only big enough for one luggage and one person at a time. The stairs are narrow and dim. Apartment is as per picture, big with nice view! Kitchen is equipped but if you intend to cook, suggust you BYO oil, salt/pepper etc. There's a supermarket within 3 minutes' walk, just turn right on the ground floor, make a right turn at the corner, and look out for it on your left. If you are looking for a good location, this is a good choice. Wished we can stay a few more days in
Emanuela, the lovely young woman whom we dealt with, was wonderful. She was responsive in all the back and forth emails - she could not have been more helpful and quick to reply, making sure we had a hairdryer, adapters and enough sets of keys.
We had a difficult trip - my daughter was sick and unsure of our arrival time, they could not have been nicer; flexible about timing, and made sure they were there when we were.
Needing a doctor, Emanuela was very responsive with the clinic phone number and address, explaining it was right across the Square. It was stressful and her help was invaluable. (The medical walk-in clinic sees a lot of American students, takes most health insurance and if not, was a great deal ($50). The doctor lovely, then straight to the pharmacy where they explained the medicine(s). A striking difference from the health insurance scam system in the US. When you do not have a hotel concierge to turn to, it is important to have someone as resourceful as Emanuela there to help you.
The apartment is large, with wonderful tall windows that look out onto the Baptistry and Duomo. Make sure you open the shudders and the apartment is filled with light.
The kitchen is simple, with a set of knives, basic utensils and pots and pans - no microwave but a very good gas stove, once you figure out gas valve on the wall. A set of knives, and a wonderful rustic farm table for sharing cheese, bread wine and stories. It was nice to be able to make a cup of tea, have a frig for food, and have enough rooms to be able to have space.
There are good directions for the washer and it was a great plus - worked well and quickly - no dryer but a large drying rack and we were there in the rain and most clothes did dry or we set them on the radiators for an hour.
The bathroom is simple but has good water pressure and we never ran out of hot water. (No bugs, no smell, no real issues.)
The weather was very warm, but turned cold one evening and we asked to have it turned up - within 10 minutes one of the very nice service men arrived and checked the radiators and turned up the heat for us.
The Square is one of the busier places in Florence, and the Duomo bells do start early, as do the food service carts next door, but setting a sound machine was key to overcoming those early sounds on the first few days (with jet lag).
There are several markets nearby - EATALY - around to the left – and small market on San Lorenzo around to the right and then the Mercado Centrale which is huge and great for gifts, food, fruit bread, wine, oils, on and on.
