David's place was perfect for us. Super clean and EXACTLY as described in the photos and write-ups. David was easy to communicate with and prompt. Thanks David.
The condo was fantastic. Clean, quiet, located in a lovely neighbourhood, close to a few good places to eat, close to several train lines, what more could you want? Recommended without hesitation
Both David & the apartment were amazing!
David is a great host, and he gave us all the information we need to move around NYC! Definetely I would recomend him over and over!
The apartment is just as it is seen on the pictures, very clean and extremely good taste on the decoration. Everything works perfectly and we felt like home.
The neighbourhood is really nice, you have lots of options of restos and bars and the subway is 2 blocks distance.
The reservation was canceled 27 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
First time user of airbnb.
David's apartment is very well fitted out, comfortable and in the heart of the lively Brooklyn culture. The description is accurate and David is a considerate host.
Would highly recommend. A truly great experience.
We needed a place to stay to attend an event for my son at the NYU School of Medicine and we chose David's place based on the stellar reviews. All I can say is Wow! David's place was amazing and he is a terrific host. The place was super clean and gorgeous and hip. Exactly like the pictures! It is located on a quiet street next to a few yummy eating places. We loved Speedy Romeo's at the corner (must try the Chocolate cake with melted marshmallow on top!). We also really liked Clementine's bakery just steps from the door. Also, we loved Tony's Pizza just a few block up the street. Don't forget to visit Dough for unique and fresh donuts. There are lots of great food choices around David's place.
David was a great host and answered literally a zillion questions for us since this was our first time in New York. He responded to every email I sent. He is also a super nice guy! When my daughter wanted an extra blanket I emailed him and he stopped by the next day and left one for us! Also gave us the name of a car service that worked great for getting into the city and to the airport. We also used the subway quite a bit. The G line subway is just around the corner and worked perfect for us! We also walked around at night and felt safe in this area.
One great feature of David's apartment is the queen bed in the Master. It is soooo comfy! And this is important to me. My daughter slept on a cozy daybed and my son stayed one night with us and slept on the most amazing air mattress I have ever seen. It was literally three feet off the ground and more comfortable than most hotel beds.
Overall this was an amazing place to stay, super gorgeous in a quiet neighborhood with easy train access and good food choices and a great host! You cannot go wrong staying here! Thanks so much David!
I can't say enough good things about my stay in David's condo! From my first interaction with him, I knew I had made the right choice for my home away from home for 5 days in Brooklyn. David contacted me within just a few hours from my first inquiry, which immediately put my mind at ease.
Picking up the keys to the condo was a very easy exchange. David met me at the condo and provided some useful information about the neighborhood and the Brooklyn Flea Market on Saturdays (which is awesome!) David made me feel very welcome and I instantly felt at home when walking into his place.
As far as the condo itself, WOW! I must say, I'm still a little homesick! The apartment looks absolutely identical to the pictures, and honestly the pictures don't do it justice. The condo is on the 3rd floor of a walkup (very new building), but the stairs are wide and I had no problems carrying up my luggage. The living room and kitchen are a very nice open space with lots of sunlight. The kitchen had your basic cookware, enough to cook a meal if you really feel like it. There is a small terrace off of the living room where you can stand and watch the world go by on Greene Ave. The bed was so comfortable to come home to after a busy day in the city. There is a great balcony off of the bedroom, and when you open the terrace doors in the living room across the hall, you get a wonderful cross breeze! I felt like I was in a 5 star hotel while I was there, especially when it came to the bathroom! The bathtub is HUGE!!! Only downside was that the water pressure is very low and it took a while to fill up.
I LOVED the neighborhood. I felt very safe walking around at all times of the day. There is a mix of old and new buildings, tree lined streets with old brownstones...lots and lots of character. After being in Manhattan and getting off the subway (which is only a couple of blocks away), notice how quiet it is. You hear the birds chirping, kids laughing, and it's hard to believe that you are in NYC. There are lots of great restaurants in the area, especially Nero Doro where I had a salmon omelette with peach bellinis...yum! Another favorite spot was Clementines, a great vegan/gluten free bakery just steps from the condo.
I researched for months before choosing where I would stay during my time in the city, and I could not be happier that I went with David. Everything from that first email to the check-out was a smooth process. I just locked the keys in the condo to check out, and I received my security deposit back within 48 hours. I will without a doubt stay here again! Thank you so much David!
Amazing stay. Amazing apartment. Amazing host. Amazing area of Brooklyn. Couldn't ask for anything more! Would stay again in an instant.
David's apartment is in a great location - an easy to access tree-lined street in Brooklyn. Visiting Manhattan is an easy trip, and seeing the sights in Brooklyn is even easier - The Brooklyn Botanic Gardens, BAM, Brooklyn Flea, The Brooklyn Museum and Aita - my favorite restaurant at the moment (really, my absolute favorite), are all within walking distance. The apartment is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. David was a perfect host and very responsive at all times. I plan to return!
Great guest, easy going, clean and quiet. 2 Thumbs up!!
I meet David briefly, nice guy, like most of New Yorkers. He stay few nights in one of my apartments, and the apartment was cleaner than before, so 2 thumbs up for David. I wish all of my guests are like him
David is a good friend of many years. He has a discerning eye for interior design as well as practical comfort. His place is amazing. It feels like a modern upscale hotel suite. Equipped with those usually overlooked amenities such as a Bosch Washer and dryer and one those amazing top reviewed Comforpedic Phenom mattresses in the master bedroom. The neigborhood is nothing to frown upon either. There is my favorite new Resteraunt in the area owned by a former contestant of the hit Food Network show "Chopped" called Speedy Romeo, located a block away. There are parks, cafes, a farmer's market, and tons of Brooklyn culture just blocks away. Oh, and how can I forget "Dough" an amazing homemade donut shop also around the corner. He lives just minutes away from manhattan via train and a $20 cab ride from midtown manhattan door to door.
Great space. It's like being in a magazine shoot, very upmarket. The area is vibrant with diverse and friendly people, restaurants and easy access to Manhattan. Few parks close by and walking distance to weekend farmers markets.
