Adventurous 30-ish (!) professional male, currently in the midst of a complete reinvention through the realization of a life-long dream: a solo-backpacking trip across Europe. I'm delighted at having found AirBnB and the opportunities it offers, as an alternative to hostels and as a way to experience local cultures. My goal is to meet as many new friends as possible, to enjoy the journey and moment. I seek to stand before all of the wonders which I have only read about thus far and broaden my perspective.

I appreciate that as a host, you are opening up your home to me and I promise to be respectful of your family, property, neighbors and house rules. I am specifically interested in hosts that enjoy socializing with travelers, although I would never seek to impose. By nature I am a neat and tidy person; I like pets and get along well with animals.

I'm passionate about life, with a love for good food and wine, lively conversations and music. (I sing poorly, but with enthusiasm - fortunately my cooking is better!) Schooled in history, architecture and engineering, I am very technically-inclined and fascinated by complex machinery, structures, fast cars and especially motorcycles. I'm generally a handy person to have around and I am always happy to help if I can fix something, be it jump start a car, fix a door or lend a hand in the kitchen. I define myself as a participant, not a spectator.

I have traveled mainly throughout North America, having visited Canada, Jamaica, Mexico and several smaller islands in the Caribbean. This May/June will be my first trip to mainland Europe although I once partied under the aurora borealis in Reykjavik... but some stories are best shared in person.

Thank you for taking the time to read my profile, I look forward to meeting you!
