We want to thank you Yasko for the wonderful experience we had during our stay in your house. Time ran fast and we wish we had rented your property until the end of our vacation time in Japan.
Anyway, your house is awesome, clean and located at a convenient location between Yokohama and Tokyo. We did appreciate all the equipment, especially for our baby. Overall it is a great deal. :)
We felt home and we wish to rent it again in the future!
Thank you again for allowing us to have such a good time in Tokyo!
Great place to stay! The house is very spacious, even by Japanese standards. Very close to a train station and several conbinis and markets. Mobile wifi provided, which is a must in the city for navigating. It's a friendly, quiet neighborhood in the suburbs. Management is done by a company, not the owner which caused some confusion but it worked out fine. Would highly recommend staying here, the best value for your money in the city!
I stayed at Yasko’s house with a friend from Switzerland for about two weeks. The location is not the most charming area but very convenient to access different places by train (the centre and suburb of Tokyo, Narita airport, Haneda airport, and to get to Shinkansen). The house is new and the rooms are clean and well equipped. The kitchen and the bathroom have everything we needed. We felt at home and really enjoyed staying there. Both Yasko and the person in charge in Tokyo are kind and well reachable whenever needed.
As a person who was born and raised in Tokyo, I want to say that it is not easy to find such a house to rent in Tokyo at this reasonable price.
Our family of 4 had a long stay at Yasko's house this summer and we loved it.
The house is in a typical residential neighborhood of Tokyo, with 2-3 floor homes around. It is close to 2 stations and 5 different lines, so really with easy access anywhere in this big metropolis. From Haneda airport it is just a 10 min ride, very convenient.
The area and surroundings are quiet, a huge park and aquarium are in walking distance and even man-made beach park with the Nori-Museum is nearby for days when we wanted to stay close.
Fully equipped with anything necessary in addition to wifi and a portable rooter, we were able to start our stay in town the minute we moved in. The house, like in the photos online, with its white wallpapers and wooden floors and doors, is really light and comfy and it felt like home.
Any question we had before or during our stay was always answered latest the next day. Very professional and caring hosts.
Thank you again, Yasko.
Everything was perfect. A very confortable and clean house with all amenities. Yasko is a really nice and friendly host. We'll come back as soon as possible.
We had a very pleasant stay at Yasko's home.
Her house is professionally managed so everything is well maintained. The amenities that her house provides goes well beyond what similar priced hotels gives, such as having both a mobile and static wifi hotspots, washer/dryer combination, traveler's toothpaste/toothbrush comboes, and we even got complimentary drinks! Seriously, everything you need besides personal clothing and food is right here.
In terms of the location, Tachiaigawa is a suburb about 20 min. south of the main areas of Tokyo but honestly, we didn't mind. After spending the whole day in the city, Yasko's home provides the perfect getaway from the urban lifestyle. Tachiaigawa is a quiet, peaceful area that provides easy access to both Tokyo and Yokohama.
I stayed at Yasko's house for 10 days with my two sons. Her new house was really comfortable!! It was clean, spacious, close to the station. There were lots of amenities that made me live comfortable. Yasko is a nice host. I have already booked her house for my next visit! Highly recommended!
Stayig at Yasko’s house was our best Airbnb experience so far. There are several reasons for this. First, the house was spotless clean. My two daughters are far more cleanliness-conscious than me, their father, and they had been less than pleased with some previous lodging. Here, they were very happy. The house is also designed nicely. Having rooms on three floors is great since you can sleep or be active without interfering or be interfered by others. We enjoyed conversing through the open access between the kitchen and the dining table while cooking or washing. The bathroom has a large tub that fills fast and lets you soak in supine position. And the house was stocked with everything you need for eating, cooking, doing laundry, cleaning, and sorting out trash, the last being a fairly complicated process in Japan. The train sound didn’t bother us. If you are talking in the house, you almost don’t notice it. When everyone is sleep you do hear it, but the sound is muffled. This is probably because, in addition to good insulation of the house, the train track is raised and is located higher than the house so that the sound travels above the house rather than through it. I actually enjoyed looking out the window and watching the commuters go by. Second, we found Tachiaikawa to be a convenient location for getting out to major hubs in Tokyo as well as going to Yokohama. It’s only two stops away from Shinagawa by Haneda Airport Express. Some trains go from Tachiaikawa to Higashi-Ginza and Asakusa without having to transfer. It was also very convenient for us since our flight left from Haneda International Airport. We also enjoyed Tachiaikawa itself. It is a small town with mostly small izakayas lining the narrow street in front of the train station. But if you walk around, you will find a bakery, a green grocer with great fruits, a small supermarket, and even Domino’s Pizza. There are at least three convenience stores close to the house. A 7-Eleven store is nearby where you can withdraw cash from their ATM using overseas-issued bankcards. A 15 min pleasant walk will take you to Oimachi where there are department stores, a mega-electronic store, and lots and lots of places to eat and buy food. Third, I almost hesitate to mention this for the fear that Yasko’s house will become so popular that we won’t be able to book her house when we return next year: it’s the best deal in town. Some Airbnb hosts are charging way too much for what they offer. You might as well stay at a luxury hotel. Yasko charges very reasonable rent for an entire house. Last but not least, I did not meet Yasko as she was out of the country but we had quite a few email exchanges, and she has always been communicative, helpful and kind in her response. She is a wonderful host; I wish I could have met her. I...
Yasko is an exceptional host. We began inquiring about the home rental 2 months prior to our arrival in Tokyo for our family of 5. Email correspondence was often within hours of my sending it. The property is everything and more Yasko has described. Many amenities are provided to make the stay enjoyable. Our three children occupied the third floor bedrooms, while my husband & I took the 1st floor bedroom (closest to the shower/laundry room). The home is very large compared to traditional Japanese housing. The kitchen is fully equipped as was the laundry room and shower area. I would recommend line drying your clothing as the all-in-one washer/dryer takes approximately 2 hours or more. It should be noted that the property is in Tachiagawa and is very close to the train station (within walking distance). The train will take you to the primary hub of Shinagawa. If you like the idea of being part of a community, this is your place. The small strip of shops and restaurants in Tachiagawa is quaint and not packed with other tourists. You will definitely hear the train rumbling by, but it did not disturb our slumber. I recommended Yasko purchase blackout shades as the light penetration from the neighbors outdoor light and the train is very bright. If you intend to get around Tokyo, I highly recommend purchasing a rail pass to expedite your travel. You can purchase them at the main hub in Shingawa. If you have not been to Japan, I recommend packing washcloths as these are not provided. I carried a small hand towel in my purse also as many wash station/bathrooms do not have air dryers or towels. Other than that, Yasko has provided everything you could think of including extra linens, robes, slippers, a fully equipped kitchen (with starter condiments and some items) and wi-fi. We stayed in a place in Kyoto that was more expensive and not nearly the quality of experience provided at Yasko's home.
We had a great time in the house. We felt at home, with everything we could need. All new and very well stocked and furnished. Very comfortable house, and spacious for Japanese standards.
We were staying there with our 20-month-old daughter so we had the chance to spend lots of time in the house (due to her jetlag) and it was a happy experience after all.
The train station is very close, which can make the noise quite annoying, but at the same time it is very convenient to move around.
Yasko was a great host, very nice and always answering my doubts before and during our stay.
Yasko her husband and 2 lovely kids stayed at our apartment for 4 days and they definitely top the list of the guests we have had. Easy communication and super friendly and they left our apartment in super good and clean condition. Yasko and her family are more than welcome to stay with us again anytime.
Always a pleasure to host Yasko and her family!
Always a great guest! I'll have Yasko at my house anytime.
The family is so nice, clean and discreet.
Yasko was great! I would be happy to have her and her family again if they wanted to. They left the apartment clean, never made any problems, great guests.
