Deanna's ranch was in a beautiful spot! I had to work most of the time so I didn't do the hiking I would have liked to, but Deanna told me where to find the trails as well as local restaurants. The bathroom, which is in the room is really spacious. This is a very relaxing place to stay.
Staying at Deanna was just what we were hoping for. We divided or trip from SF to Joshua Tree by stopping at Agua Dulce and we were pleasently surprised. The place was somewhat rural and we absolutely loved hiking in the Vazquez Rock area before we continued our trip. Deanna served us breakfast in the sunny porch. The room was nice and comfortable and although it is part of her house it felt very private. Thanks Deanna!
Peter and Deanna were gracious hosts, as well as Zena, Paris and Elvis (their dogs). Lovely country atmosphere. Spacious bathroom. Exercise room. For being far removed, there were several surprisingly good restaurants.
We came to Agua Dulce to chill for a couple of days and Deanna and Peter made us feel very welcome. The private room is big and exactly as the pictures shows. The bathroom is attached to the room. Both were nice and clean. Deanna made us nice breakfast in the morning and we had a great chat with her and her husband. They also have 3 dogs. One barks a bit, but they are very friendly. They also had some great tips in terms of restaurants and other things you could do in the area.
If you want to relax, this is a great place!
We stayed at Deanna's guest room in Christmas night.Deanna and her husband, Peter gave us a warm welcome although they were busy preparing dinner for the big family. In the morning Deanna cooked nice breakfast and the couple waited us to have the meal together. They are very nice and patient.
The room has nostalgic decoration and clean and tidy.
I needed a place to stay for a NASA event at Edwards Air Force Base and could not be happier that I chose to stay at the Adobe Horse Ranch in Agua Dulce with Deanna instead of staying at a hotel in Palmdale or Lancaster. Even though I needed to wake up at 5:30am all three mornings I stayed there, Deanna was up before me and had breakfast or coffee ready. When I asked her for running tips, she recommended a beautiful route along the Pacific Crest Trail to Vazquez Rocks Park. The room and in-suite bathroom were made up with more care and attention to detail than even the nicest hotels, especially the cups for bringing shampoo to the shower and the heated mattress/blanket for the cold November night.
Thank you David for the great review, we enjoyed hosting you as well! You are welcome back anytime!!!
Good place to visit the Vasquez Rocks park. Nice blue skies. Windy and crisp, cool in morning November. Higher altitude, 2000 ft approximately. Horses on property. Deanna very friendly and accommodating.
My fiancée and I stayed here for a short vacation and some engagement photos. The location was very quiet and cozy. It was just the right amount of distance away from the city that you could look up at the sky at night and see ALL of the stars. My fiancée and I both felt like we were staying at our family’s house. Deanna is very nice and sweet and she took care of any of our needs. In the mornings, she would cooked breakfast for us and on the days that we had to leave early to head into the city, she would prep the coffee for us and leave us snacks to take. It was exactly what we were expecting, but better. Definitely recommend this place to our friends and especially if they are looking for a nice place to stay that is private, quiet and peaceful.
My sisters and I loved staying at Deanna's ranch! Deanna and her husband were friendly and welcoming, and made us feel comfortable staying in their lovely home on the hill. It's perfect if you have things to do in Los Angeles but don't want to stay in the city. This place was perfect for us - located in a quiet little town surrounded by beautiful scenery, easy to get to, and pretty close to LAX airport (just make sure you don't travel at rush hour). Our trip back to the airport early on a Sunday morning took just 40 minutes. During our stay, our accommodating hosts made us french toast for breakfast, introduced us to their 3 dogs, gave us treats to feed their rescue horse, Penny, and gave us great advice on exploring nearby Vasquez Rocks which is just minutes away. Agua Dulce is small but there is a good market very close by, along with some wineries and a handful of great shops and restaurants. Our room was comfortable and well appointed. It's next to the entrance which makes it easy to come and go without disturbing anyone. The room is suitable for one person or a couple, or three very close people as in our case (the room is open concept with the private bathroom, so you should be comfortable with each other if sharing the room). I would not recommend it for more than 3 people. Also note that although it is very quiet during the day, the neighbor has a rooster and a donkey which make a little noise at daybreak. If you're a light sleeper it may wake you up. Overall, this was a lovely place to stay and we're so glad we chose it!
Deanna and her husband were wonderful hosts. I chose to stay here during a business trip, because frankly I was sick of hotels. It was my first booking through Airbnb, and I was a bit nervous of what to expect. But their home and hospitality was just was described. And their sweet dogs were a bonus treat! I liked that it was away from the hustle and bustle of the city and absolutely no traffic getting to and from my office in Santa Clarita. I would definitely stay here again.
It was a wonderful experience to host Deanna. She was sweet, helpful, and considerate; and contributed in ways that were completely unexpected and that I really appreciated. I would be happy to have her back anytime and highly recommend her as a guest.
Deanna was a great guest once again. She kept me updated on arrival plans, she was friendly and courteous, she treated me and my home with care and respect, and she and her fellow travelers left the rooms in good condition at checkout. I would be happy to host her again!
Deanna was a great guest - not surprisingly, since fellow hosts usually are! She was friendly and very self-sufficient...a quality which I greatly appreciate in guests! She observed house rules and left her room in good condition when she checked out. I would be happy to host her again anytime and I would definitely recommend her to other hosts.
