Tracy was great to deal with, quick responses and very generous offering to set up her portacot for our little one amongst other things. The house is as described. Beds are very comfy, fire works really well for heating. Kitchen really well equipped. The native garden in the front by the deck is lovely, though there are a few cars going past if you are on the Island at a busy time. We really enjoyed our stay, walking to Colonnades beach, seeing the sights and relaxing. Thanks Tracy!
Tracy was an absolute delight to communicate with from the moment I sent my initial inquiry to the last day of our stay.
Tracy's email provided detailed instructions on getting there, what the home provided, what was in the immediate area for eating out and supplies. Some suggestions on walks and things to do in the area etc. What we liked most is the 'beach shack' is positioned away from the crowds of other areas on the Island.
On our arrival the first thing I noticed was the fresh flowers throughout the home, a big plus in my books. There was a lovely personalised welcome card and gift from Tracy, this certainly added to her very personalised care of her guests. Thank you Tracy you are very thoughtful.
The shack was clean, comfortable & well equipped. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need and more. Great choice of coffee and tea for the coffee machine. The oven is new, our rack of lamb roast for dinner took hardly any time and was delicious. There is a huge quantity of really good quality cutlery & crockery, definately another plus.
Proximity to the beach, whilst you could not hear the waves crashing on the shore. The walk to the beach is about 15-20 minutes. We chose to drive to the car park then spent hours walking on the beach, which was not crowded, so an an added delight for us.
The book case has such a great range of books to suit all tastes. We spent our time sitting outside not he deck, listening to music and flipping though the travel books for some arm chair journeys and forward travel plans. There is no TV, for us it did not matter as we don't watch much at home anyway. No WiFi, could be handy but we still managed.
Thank you Tracy we had such a pleasure dealing with you, & found your 'little beach shack' very comfortable.
All the best.
We are a family of of 4, with children aged 10 and 12. We had a great time both in the house and in the Phillip Island surrounds. Nice touch not to have a TV... we essentially made it an electronic free holiday. Nice and close to Woolami surf beach and the calmer Cleeland /Bight front beach , great for SUP paddle boarding, a little bit of fishing here and there and a short drive to Smith's beach for the kids to surf. Thanks Tracy
Tracy was a great host, and very helpful prior too and during our stay.Making recommendations with where to eat out as well places to visit.Leaving all the info via e-mail as well in the house. The house is very comfortable and warm fitted with modern appliances and a great little fire place for those cold nights. I'd love to stay there again and would recommend their house to anyone.
Tracy was really great to work with. She emailed back quickly and was very helpful for the whole time we were at the house.
