This ski house exceeded all my expectations. It is super cozy in the middle of the Vermont woods, but there was no problems finding it -John's instructions were very clear. It is very well maintained, there is a fire place, comfortable beds, great kitchen, a nice porch and charming bears (not real ones - I think). I would definitely recommend this place.
We had a wonderful weekend at John's cabin while in the area for a wedding at a nearby campground. It was very well-maintained and spotlessly clean, and John was very thoughtful in leaving detailed instructions for guests. We really enjoyed having a comfortable, quiet place to stay with our four-month-old baby. I would recommend this rental to anyone.
Tout était parfait, très propre et chaleureux. À notre arrivée une sélection de bières nous souhaitait la bienvenue! Très bel endroit dans la forêt proche d'un lac pour se baigner.
My parents had wonderful time staying at John's place. The house had everything they needed, very clean, and in a great location.
Even though John lives offsite, his instructions made our stay easy and comfortable. John was easily reachable through the phone when we had some petty questions about the house and neighborhood. The house is located in the wood and you get total quietness and complete privacy day or night. It's also just a few minutes walk to the three lakes, and a short drive away from a beach. We enjoyed our stay.
The house was comfortably roomy and very comfortable, well-equipped with kitchen supplies, towels, linens, and more. John left us a bottle of wine which my friends enjoyed and was a very thoughtful touch. They also helped themselves to 2 beers from the cabinet! Overall it was a lovely place, nestled in the fir trees. Our only problem was getting in: we had a very hard time opening the door--the key did not work well and we thought we'd be stuck sleeping in the car. We did eventually get in.
If Ded went through the side door she would have gotten in without a problem. The keys for the back door are for back up, she made the mistake of using the back door first.
We loved John's house. Not only John was very responsive and helpful, but he also had a bottle of white wine for us. This is very considerate. The house was super clean! it is also as described with everything you need. Directions inside the house are (website hidden) is very close to Okemo 10-15 min by car. Very convenient.
Our group of 4 returned to John's cute cabin in the woods. It was everything as expected and we are already talking about returning again next year for a ski weekend. Who ever looks after the place does a great job cleaning and getting the snow off the roof and shoveling. There is a landline telephone which came in handy because we had to call AAA for car problem--- the cell phone coverage is spotty so the availability of the landline was tremendous. There was no problem for AAA to find John's place. Thanks for sharing your cabin in the nature.
We had an excellent time staying at John's house. It was very private and cozy. It suited all our needs for a ski weekend at Killington and we really enjoyed using the fireplace. Thanks again!
Great, comfortable house. Everything you could possibly need for a perfect stay was provided. John is an incredible owner with great communication. Would definitely stay here again. Thank you!!!
