Anh is a great host and is very fast to communicate with you. Any problem we had with anything, she responded promptly and took care of it immediately. The week we stayed there, the building was going through an unexpected transition, and Anh promptly went through great lengths to make sure we didn't have any problems when we could hear the actual tenants' incessant complaining.
About the place:
To make sure this is clear, the indoors area is a small living room with a bathroom. The living room transforms between living room, kitchenette (if you prefer cooking indoors), bedroom, and dining room. It is small, but can be extremely comfortable depending on how much you're willing to clean up after yourself. You can get a good idea of it's size by looking at the orientation of the zebra rug to know where the pictures were taken in Anh's space.
The outside patio, there area has a large feel to it. It's extremely comfortable and if you enjoy just sitting out, feeling the air, cooking outside, smoking, or being outside; just go nuts. The area is private to you and whomever you brought with you. However, my girlfriend and I, briefly, were incidental exhibitionists.
Eddy street itself is a bit scary at night by the look, but no one will bother you as long as you're not attracting attention to yourself. That said, Anh is a fairly small, attractive person and is safely able to navigate these streets at night. You shouldn't have any worries.
Overall, if you like the idea of having a "landlord" who handles things for you, romantic moonlight slow dances on the patio with some Righteous Brothers in the background, peaceful time to yourself outside, great nearby food, or an exciting and accessible neighborhood; this is the place to stay.
A couple of "other" notes:
- Public transportation is very easy to navigate from this location
- You are fairly close to Union Square, the piers, Market St, and many more things nearby.
- Brenda's food is amazing and just around the corner on Post (try their sweet potato pancakes and their beignets)
- Moulin Rouge breakfast place has great homemade style hangover breakfast food, but beware the waits)
- There are many Mom & Pop stores around for groceries, otherwise there is a trader joes that is ~15 minute walk.

Anh's place was great. She was very helpful in all aspects of my stay. Highly recommended.
I am about to give 3stars for "location" ... as the Tenderloin is a notoriously sketchy neighborhood .... however - for me it was extremely convenient ... everything else 5stars.
Great place, clean and cozy. Outdoor space is very cute and we had a great time relaxing outside in the evening before hitting the town. Anh was a great host and was very helpful during the check in/check out process.
Its location is fantastically close to downtown however the immediate area seemed to be a little run down so be sure to keep your wits about you. I'd definitely stay there again though as it was awesome being so close to Polk St.
Very beautiful. Host was incredibly helpful. Clean, relaxing, and great getaway in a lively neighborhood. Will hopefully stay again if back in SF.
Fantastic secret garden hideaway in the midst of everything. Two great pubs, Upcider and Ediburgh Castle, just a couple blocks away. Cable cars, the historic F line, BART, muni to anywhere just a few more blocks. Ideal location for experiencing SF on foot -- the way it's meant to be!
Loved staying at Anh's little outdoor oasis and apartment!
While her actual indoor apartment space may not be terribly big (just comfortable enough for 2), but her thriving garden space makes up for it. But we were impressed at Anh's creative thinking of living in a smaller space. A handy-woman indeed.
We stayed at Anh's place for a few days during our stay in SF and couldn't wait to go back and relax outdoors on her deck after a long day of walking and sightseeing.
The apartment is also walking distance to some great Banh Mi sandwiches + Thai Ice Tea stores; a perfect meal for breakfasts.
Anh is a terrific host, was super accommodating and lovely to chat with. Shared our experiences and great conversations about food, music and Apartment Therapy when we came to check-in.
Definitely would come live here again during another visit to SF!
Anh's place was everything as stated in the listing. it's close to Bart, restaurants and is in the TL...
I really enjoyed my time there. it was a bit smaller than expected but everything is so functional that it all just works well... I'd stay again!!!
Gem of a space. Lots of plants in the outdoor living area. Very clever design; with large double bed and table collapsing in the indoor living area. Mattress very comfortable; and sheets thick, high-end hotel quality. Nice to have a wireless music system I could take into the bathroom also. Anh was a great host and gave me a very good introduction. Would recommend -- for solo travellers and couples particularly.
Anh's space is amazing!! who could of thought you could live inside and out in SF, the magic of the garden and the space around is a once in a lifetime experiences, and very comfy bed and set up! A fantastic neighborhood. we were adopted into the local community, in the building and neighborhood, and felt very safe and taken care of.
Also Anh was so helpful and responded to emails and things always right way, it was a gift to be there and to know her!
