Following years for working in emergency management for the US Government, I retired in January 2012 and I am now enjoying the latest chapter in my life. While retirement started out poorly with the death of my mom at 93, the remainder of the year thus far has gone pretty well: a month in a Spanish immersion program in Guatemala; St. Patrick's Day with my dad in Pennsylvania; a month traveling around France and Italy;a family Fourth of July in Pennsylvania. Now South America and China are coming up!
What keeps me going? Some important aspects of my life are my dad and siblings and 30 nieces and nephews. Great friends surround me. Travel is important. I believe in equal treatment for all, along side of the right decisions made by political leaders. Fun things? I bike, read, and enjoy San Francisco where I live. My life and my stories will hopefully add to an enjoyable time staying with potential friends around the world. As a guest in someone's home? I can vouch for myself in that I am respectful, clean, and mindful that I am in someone else's home. The rules of the home become the parameters of my conduct
A little about me? As a mature, well-established adult, I live in a great city, I just finished remodeling my home, and now, I can spend my time doing what I want. I have traveled much and welcome opportunities to meet new people and experience a slice of another culture. I am easy-going, low maintenance, and strive to do some unexpected kindness for other frequently.
