dear Juliet ,
I am glad that you had a wonderful time in Barcelona .
First of all please accept my apologize for didn’t check you in personally. But it says in my profile that I am a manager in the company who rent apartments and not the owner ( it will be difficult to make personal check in managing over 50 properties I have in airbnb profile ). Fortunately I work with an amazing group of people who help me to care and maintain the apartment and I sent my right-hand person Maria to accommodate you. She is very nice and helpful, always open to answer any question that the guests could have.
I’m glad that you liked the apartment, apart from the small issues that you mention. About the city information, there is a folder in the apartment that I always keep updated with the best places to be visited: bars, restaurants, museums … around the city, not only the area near the apartment. I love to discover new places and extend the list, so my guests can also enjoy them!
In the same folder there are also the instructions to use all the appliances of the apartment. I don’t like to leave the original instructions of them because sometimes these are like heavy books with too much information, so I’ve made a summary of them to simplify the instructions and made the appliances easy to use for everyone. The coffee machine was new and I didn’t have time to write down the instructions. Sorry for that, and also for the smoking smell. I’m a non-smoking person, so I can well understand how unpleasant the smoke smell can be. I have a non-smoking policy in the apartment, as you know, but sometimes there are people who don’t follow this rule, and it seems that the previous guest was smoking in the apartment, and even the cleaning lady did her best to remove the smell, some of them remained in one bedroom.
Still, I hope that you give me the opportunity to lodge you and your family again and show you the best places of the neighborhood!
