The host was welcoming. The pictures of the home are not represented in the pictures in the posting. The pictures of the red brick structures are actually of the park and adjacent housing. This home is a small grey house. The interior of the home is in the process of remodeling. It appears that it will look good after remodeling. We decided not to stay after viewing for a few reasons - The home is going through significant remodeling, neighborhood is transitional, we had an event downtown Cincinnati at 7:30 AM and host shared hot breakfast would be at 9 AM– We did not want cold breakfast. it was more convenient and better for us to change plans and stay downtown. Their dog Luna is super cute. If you don't mind staying during construction/remodeling and you're okay with the neighborhood, I think it would be a fine place to stay. Much more affordable than staying downtown.
I felt very welcomed at Ethel's house. She and her husband are very friendly and love to talk with you. Same for me, I enjoyed exchanging experiences and stories with the hosts.
The location was convenient to Univ of Cinc where we have a son attending. There is also a bus stop nearby. Host was welcoming and Barry offered a nice healthy breakfast and ate along with us. I would definitely return IF the bathroom and the two rooms we had were clean.
Ethel and Barry were extremely welcoming and made sure I felt comfortable from the moment I got there. The house was beautiful with a separate room and bathroom for the guest. Luna the dog was great as well :)

My wife and I visited for one night, but we felt very welcome and at home. Other reviews have mentioned that the house was in a not-so-great part of town, but from our experience, Cincinnati's bark ("rough-looking" neighborhoods) is much worse than its bite (actual crime). We parked our car on the street, and felt completely safe in doing so. Other reviews also mentioned that the house is undergoing some renovations. That is true, but it doesn't affect the parts of the house having to do with your stay, and is in no way an inconvenience.
All in all, this is an amazing deal. The owners are friendly, the breakfast was delicious, the room was spacious and clean, and with only 2 bedrooms, things never felt crowded. If we're even in Cincinnati again, we'll be looking them up.
We had a wonderful experience with Ethel and Barry. From the moment we walked in they were so accommodating. We fell in love with their area and town. They provided great suggestions on where to visit and eat. Having coffee in the am with them made our hearts happy. Luna their dog was no trouble and loved the attention.
Ethel was a joy for our staff to work with. Accommodating, kind, polite, the works! We would absolutely return and stay here in the future!
it 's a very nice place quiet and comfortable
Ethel and Barry are friendly ,they give me many suggestions of where to go and the dog Luna is cute and friendly
I have a wonderful time in their house
and it's the best experience of airbnb
Ethel, Barry, and Luna were there to welcome and show me around when I arrived. It was the coldest day of the year, but the room was nice and toasty (with the help of an electric blanket and space heater)! Close enough to walk downtown for dinner -- I recommend Bakersfield. In the morning, they offered a nice breakfast. Everything was great!
Kind, polite, and very friendly fellow airbnb hosts. My family enjoyed their company and I hope they have enjoyed their stay at our home.
Barry and Ethel were a pleasure and are always welcome back.
Ethel and Barry were two lovely lovely lovely people, unnoticeable, kind, and a pleasure to be around. I would love to stay in their bed and Breakfast and hope they open one in my area as they said!
