Excellent stay and experience. Location is ideal for any destination downtown for cabs and Uber. Neighborhood is impoverished but safe and up and coming in a quite beautiful area. Really beautiful views are the city are close.
The house has modern features in a classic older home. There is a shared bathroom but we had no problems. The bed was soft and cozy. Breakfast was included and was quite tasty. Going to book here again.
Ethel and Barry were a nice couple and welcomed me to their comfortable and cozy house. The house is between UC and downtown, easy Uber rides to either. I would stay here again.
Ethel and Barry were excellent hosts! The room was great! Everything was clean, although there were some renovations done to the house, did not affect my stay at all. Hosts favs great recommendations on where to eat and see! Great conversations and breakfast was tasty! Would definitely book again!
We enjoyed our stay at Ethel and Barry's place. This is a bed & breakfast place, with a shared bathroom and private bedroom. The room is exactly as pictured.
Convenient location in downtown Cincinnati. Barry and Ethel are super friendly, and fun to converse with about travel adventures and all things food. Their dog Luna is adorable, and welcoming.
Overall, a nice stay and I would recommend to others to check it out.
Thanks for having us!
Ethel and her husband were great hosts. They recommended some great places to visit in Cincinnati, were incredible outgoing and friendly, and cooked a great breakfast the morning of my departure. Be warned, you are sharing a bathroom with other guests, and the light switch is on the outside of the bathroom (this lead to some confusion when I tried to brush my teeth at midnight). But overall a great value for someone trying to stay in Cincinnati.
Ethel's home was easy to find and was a convenient place to stay for our short stay. They were very friendly and welcoming! The house is still under renovations, but the rooms we stayed in were not being worked on.
Hopkins park bed and breakfast was absolutely lovely. My friend and I were only stopping in cincinnati briefly, but Ethel and Barry couldn't have been more helpful or accommodating. They gave us all the information we needed about the city, such as how to get to Great American Ballpark.
We thoroughly enjoyed staying at your home, it was so very convenient to downtown cincinnati and other points of interest. Barry and Ethel were charming, warm and friendly hosts who were quiet and respectful of our private space. Our room and the bathroom were clean and comfortable and the park across the street was a lovely place to spend time and admire the beautiful surroundings. Luna, the resident pooch, is an absolute gem full of love and breakfast time (promptly at 9am) was delicious, fresh and hot, and full of pleasant conversations. We will happily stay here again the next time we are in the Cincinnati area. thank you Barry, Ethel and Luna for opening your home to us
My roommate and I loved staying at Ethel's home, her and her husband were so sweet and friendly. Their dog is adorable too. I will definitely do a return visit to Cincinnati and would love to stay with them again!
The host was welcoming. The pictures of the home are not represented in the pictures in the posting. The pictures of the red brick structures are actually of the park and adjacent housing. This home is a small grey house. The interior of the home is in the process of remodeling. It appears that it will look good after remodeling. We decided not to stay after viewing for a few reasons - The home is going through significant remodeling, neighborhood is transitional, we had an event downtown Cincinnati at 7:30 AM and host shared hot breakfast would be at 9 AM– We did not want cold breakfast. it was more convenient and better for us to change plans and stay downtown. Their dog Luna is super cute. If you don't mind staying during construction/remodeling and you're okay with the neighborhood, I think it would be a fine place to stay. Much more affordable than staying downtown.
Kind, polite, and very friendly fellow airbnb hosts. My family enjoyed their company and I hope they have enjoyed their stay at our home.
Barry and Ethel were a pleasure and are always welcome back.
Ethel and Barry were two lovely lovely lovely people, unnoticeable, kind, and a pleasure to be around. I would love to stay in their bed and Breakfast and hope they open one in my area as they said!
