Ethel & Gary (and Luna) were wonderful hosts. The house was charming and clean and breakfast was delicious. They were such fun to talk to!
My stay here was extremely pleasant. It's location Is very very convenient. Every Time I googled something it was 6 minutes away . The hosts where kind, helpful, and provided a great cup of coffee and tasty breakfast each morning. Their amazing dog Luna was a huge bonus ! I highly recommend the Hopkins bed and breakfast for your stay!
Ethel and her husband were very pleasant during my stay and breakfast in the morning was a nice addition. Room and accommodations were simple but sufficient. Location of house is near the border of questionable area of cincinnati, which would have been nice to know prior to booking, but felt safe enough while staying there for two nights.
- great little house in a fairly convenient location.
- while it was clean and the hosts friendly, the house is under construction.
- The door code is easy to remember and the towels were clean.
- Cincinnati is a beautiful city
This is a fascinating old house in a quiet neighborhood of historic houses, a convenient 5-min drive from OTR, Findlay Market and downtown. The guest rooms and bathroom are in their own little wing near the front door. Barry and Ethel were very friendly and great conversationalists, and their dog is well-behaved and adorable. The day I arrived got very chilly; I was out late but came home to find a cozy extra comforter had been thoughtfully added to the bed. Accomodations are very simple but comfortable, clean and affordable.
Ethel and Barry made our stay very comfortable. The room was perfect for our one night stay and even had an additional sunroom with a couple of couches and a TV. The area wasn't exactly what we expected but definitely safe, as we returned late that evening and no trouble or apprehension. What we enjoyed most was the conversation at breakfast - this couple is so engaging and have a wonderful story to tell!
The location was a very quick drive to and from our downtown plans. The hosts were delightful, and the dog Luna was adorable! The home is still undergoing renovation, but the guest room was adequate.
Excellent stay and experience. Location is ideal for any destination downtown for cabs and Uber. Neighborhood is impoverished but safe and up and coming in a quite beautiful area. Really beautiful views are the city are close.
The house has modern features in a classic older home. There is a shared bathroom but we had no problems. The bed was soft and cozy. Breakfast was included and was quite tasty. Going to book here again.
Ethel and Barry were a delight. Laid back but attentive, and very practiced hosts. Everything was set for us when we got there, and we immediately hopped in the shower and took the opportunity to wind down from our travels.
The renovations mentioned in the previous reviews are not impacting the space in which you're staying. Though Ethel and Barry stated they do have plans to update certain details in the rooms or bathroom, I think for the money it's right on.
The front door has a code, which is super convenient as opposed to a key - they even give you a business card to help you remember the code.
They cooked us a delicious breakfast, with a side of really nice conversation. We'd definitely stay there again next time in Cincinnati!
Ethel and Barry were a nice couple and welcomed me to their comfortable and cozy house. The house is between UC and downtown, easy Uber rides to either. I would stay here again.
Kind, polite, and very friendly fellow airbnb hosts. My family enjoyed their company and I hope they have enjoyed their stay at our home.
Barry and Ethel were a pleasure and are always welcome back.
Ethel and Barry were two lovely lovely lovely people, unnoticeable, kind, and a pleasure to be around. I would love to stay in their bed and Breakfast and hope they open one in my area as they said!
