Last year we refurbished a cottage in Derbyshire as a holiday home. We're never short of something to do when we're there.

We had a lovely time in the cottage. It was spotlessly clean and nice decor. The kitchen was on the small side but this did not matter as there are lots of lovely cafés and restaurants nearby. Amazing walks locally. Linda did everything she could to make the experience memorable. The bookshop on the same road is certainly the most amazing bookshop I have even been in. If you like reading and books, it is definitely a place you should visit.
We had a lovely time at the cottage in Cromford! The house was small, but tidy and nicely decorated. Unfortunately, the wi-fi was not working during our stay, but these things happen. Also, the fireplace was out of order, but we wouldn't have wanted to use it at summer anyway. Our host always responded quickly to our messages, mostly about the wi-fi and tried to sort it out already during our stay. From the local sights, we can recommend Speedwell cavern, Chatsworth stately home and the town of Matlock Bath. Cromford is a nice and compact town. It had most of the shops and services we needed at close proximity.
Lovely cottage in great little village. Host Linda very helpful.
The cottage is really well presented and in a beautiful setting. The description is accurate and although the kitchen is small the rest of the cottage feels spacious. Linda provided us with all the information we needed and replied to questions promptly. Plenty to do in the village and surrounding areas.
Lindas cottage is beautiful, really cosy and so clean :) we loved playing the board games in the cupboard! Linda was really easy to contact before and throughout our stay. Only problem was setting off the smoke alarm very easily!
Cromford is a very quaint and pretty village.
We had a most enjoyable stay in this lovely cottage. Cromford is a really pretty, well equipped village with an excellent bookshop and cafe.
Linda was very helpful
Millers cottage is a place to fall in love with! We felt very at home, and there was absolutely everything we needed. The kids loved the steep steps.Linda was very helpful in answering our questions quickly by mail.also the neighbours were very friendly and helpful.
Cromford is historically a very interesting place. The guided tour in Cromford mill is to recommend, also the local ice cream.curry in The Boat Inn is delicious.
We should have stayed longer, as there are so much things to do and explore!
A lovely cottage just as described in a really pretty, well equipped village. Linda provided all that we needed & my friends & I had just the relaxed weekend we hoped for. Thanks Linda for the quick communication & checking everything was ok with our stay
We were a family of staying in the cottage for 3 nights. The cottage is set in an idyllic location right in the heart of the village. Linda is a great host, very quick to respond and forthcoming with advice and suggestions. Cottage is clean and well equipped. We had a brilliant time and will come back.
We spent many hours (and pounds!!) in Scartjin Books which is a lovely bookshop just a few doors away.... And Huntley Green just down the road serves up fantastic food, cakes and coffee!
Me and my family spent 4 days in Linda's cottage in Cromford and it didn't take much to feel like home. The place is in perfect location for visiting the Peak District and almost 40 mins from both Derby and Nottingham. The cottage itself was extrimely clean and as it looks in the pictures, if not better! I didn't actually meet Linda but she communicates effectively to you all you need to know about the property.
I would definitely advice Linda's place to families or group of friends who want to relax and enjoy the Peak.
Thanks Linda, I hope to meet by person next time!
Yes, it's a pity I don't meet the guests, but I hope to when I move closer!
