I'm a Midwestern girl (from Indiana and Chicago) now living in the Pacific Northwest. I am completing my Ph.D. in Linguistics and love to travel! I have a wonderful husband, an 8-year-old daughter and a newborn son.

I never met Julia face-to-face but she seems to be a very kind, caring person who will go out of her way to make you feel welcome. She ensured that no stone was left unturned when I arrived by having tour pamphlets, eattery menus, etc ready for me. I would highly suggest staying at her place when you are in town.
It was a great experience! We had a sheet left in the bedroom that gave us plenty of information about the locations nearby. There is plenty of transportation nearby. Not a far trip to downtown, just take the 67 and the 6. The room was very accommodating for two people and our host Houssain was very sweet. The neighborhood was quiet and with nice people. If you are staying and will be attending UChicago there are shuttles that leave you near by. Would recommend others to stay at this condo!
My trip to Chicago would not be perfect, if I did not sleep well in a wonderful place. The host, Laurie and Jeremy, are a lay back and friendly couple. The house is located in a safe neighbourhood (school and other apartments). I am impressed by space you can get, e.g. rooms and closet for storage. Private bathroom is a plus. I used their kitchen for making quick and easy meals.
I forget to tell you I went to Chicago by myself for the half-marathon along South Shore. That's why housings and foods are important for me.
Travel from the house to downtown Chicago is convenient. You have to do a little research of how Chicago transit (train/bus) works in order to move around. Street smart, like other big and diversified cities, is needed for all travels. Enjoy!!
People were very nice. Space was clean and lovely.
On the last night, the shower would only come out scaldingly hot.
Also, it would have been nice if they had warned me about the alternate parking. Apparently the city puts up the signs randomly and then takes them down. No way for a visitor to know that. I ended up with a $60 parking ticket.
Julie and her family were wonderful guests! Very respectful of our suite and hear communicators.
Wonderful, clean and respectful guests!
Julia was an excellent guest.
Julia and her Whole Foods team were excellent guests. They
left the home in excellent condition. I hope they come again
Julia is a delightful and very interesting guest. The apt was left in immaculate condition upon her departure. We enjoyed the time we had to visit during her quick stay and welcome her back anytime.
Superb guest. Sweet and engaging, quiet and respectful. She has a standing invitation to stay with us anytime she'd like.
Julia is the perfect guest and is always welcomed here. I offered breakfast - which she didn't want, but was standing there doing my dishes. She's lots of fun and my only complaint is she didn't stay longer!!!
Julia stayed 3 days at our Guest room while attending an event at the University nearby. She was a great guest, and left the room as clean as she found it. I'll certainly would rent out to her any time again.
