Had a great week long stay here. This is a beautiful apartment and decorated in style! Super clean, fully furnished, and Andrea is an accommodating host who goes the extra mile. Definitely recommend it.
We stayed in Andrea's lovely apartment for 5 weeks and enjoyed every day! The location is perfect for exploring and adventuring throughout Manhattan. The sites in Chelsea alone are fabulous and all within easy walking distance. The subways are a couple of blocks away and the bus is right outside the door. A better location for exploring NYC would be hard to find!
The apartment is true to the photos. There are 2 flights of stairs to get to the apt. The stairs were a bit of a challenge when bringing in luggage and groceries but that's life in "walk ups". The only real issue with the apt was that we had difficulty with the outside street noise. We kept the AC running all night as "white noise" for the person sleeping in the loft. Andrea provides a machine in the bedroom to do this but something was needed in the main room at night also. 23rd St. is a fairly large street with regular use by EMS vehicles...
Andrea was a great host and available whenever we needed help. She quickly responded to our calls. We had virtually no problems at the apartment except for TV receptions which she quickly came by to deal with. We enjoyed making light meals in the kitchen and found all the kitchen things we needed.
This was our first time using Airbnb and it went perfectly. "All good" and thanks to Andrea for making our visit an amazing one!
We loved the apartment it was very comfortable and the location was fabulous. The apartment was clean and cozy and the host made it very welcoming!
I stayed in Andrea's apartment for a little over two months.
The pictures were all accurate, except for the kitchen--it's been redone and looks great! The apartment was very cozy, and fairly spacious. And, perhaps best of all, there are tons of really great restaurants less than half a block down the street along 10th ave.
Andrea was a great host! She was very accommodating and all around a pleasure to interact with. Thanks for the great summer, Andrea!
One word to light sleepers--the street outside can get a little noisy at night with cars passing by. Wasn't too big a deal for me, but it might be something to consider.
Love, Love, Love the apartment! Everything was perfect. The sleeping loft was wonderful, it gave my daughter the privacy she wanted and made it seem as if she had her own room. The kitchen had modern appliances with granite countertops, the only thing missing was a microwave. We also had excellent Wi-Fi! The neighbors were great and the location could not have been any better!
Andrea was the perfect host. She always responded promptly, and had awesome suggestions on where to eat and entertain.
Thank you for such a kind review Renie!! It was a pleasure having both of you.
We had the greatest time in the neighborhood - with its wide variety of good restaurants, pubs and bars nearby, the fantastic art + gallery scene, the piers, the Highline Park, the Chelsea Market etc. - This apartment offers an ideally located home base to explore Chelsea and SoHo as a local. Also, the subway is less than two blocks away which allows for a quick access to all midtown and downtown areas of interest - as well as the L train connection to Brooklyn.
Following Andrea's hints we picked up the keys at the designated address and everything worked out smoothly from there. The insider recommendations Andrea gave us on the surrounding gastronomic offers were spot-on and very valuable. Due to the all-round opportunities to eat out my wife and I actually did not even use the apartment's kitchen.
A unique New York experience!
This was a gem of an apartment. why? Firstly, the location.Right in the middle of chelsea with eating places nearby. Secondly you have everything you need in the apartment. Andrea even left us beer in the fridge. plenty of sheets and blankets and a/c plus t.v. wifi so so, but we found this all over the states.
We were greeted by Andreas parents as we arrived late and they showed us everything.
We came with our grown up children and the loft bed was a bit cramped, so my daughter slept on the sofa. NO BIG DEAL!!!
In short we can highly recommend this apt and Andrea as a host.
Andrea was a great host: hospitable and responsible!
The appartement was really clean and well located: less than a minute away from the Highline park; couple of blocks away from the subway etc. Not too quiet, not too busy. Happy medium between Upper East & Greenwich village.
It was three of us and we really enjoyed our trip!
Not much to say other than "Thank you Andrea!"
Andrea's home is exactly as it appears on line. It provided a perfect "home away from home" in NYC. It was an ideal location in Chelsea complete with friendly neighbors and quick walks to great restaurants. The bedroom plus sleeping loft provided just enough space for 2 couples, or possibly a couple with an older child. We loved our experience. Caution- It's so charming that you may not get to all your planned outings!

Andrea was a dream come true for a host! She was very communicative and had a positive attitude. She even agreed to be part of a photo shoot that was taking place at the apartment! We'd welcome Andrea back with open arms any time and highly recommend her as a guest!
