The Bolthole is just a wonderful place. Whilst we weren't on the Rail Trail, it was perfectly situated, just up the road (yes, easy walking distance!) from both the Trail the Wedderburn Tavern.
It's easy to see where Graeme Sydney got his inspiration from: outside your bedroom window lies a vast landscape covered in tussock and home to the odd sheep. It really is quite beautiful and worth exploring. Close by include the quaint St Bathans, the beautiful Naseby and the average Ranfurly, the latter of which has a supermarket. Despite seeming in the middle of nowhere, amenities aren't that far afield.
The accommodation itself is very comfortable: two king-sized beds, a very nice log fire and fully-kitted out kitchen, all set in very modern and near decor. We weren't wanting for anything, except perhaps and ipod dock or wifi. Silence, however, and the lack of emails, made for a truly relaxing experience.
Sophie was quick to reply and made sure we were well looked-after. Overall, this was a great experience: I hope everyone else has a great a time as we did!
Super cool family and a joy to have come and stay. They left the apartment as they found it and no problems at all. Highly recommended guests.
