As we got a flat tire 10 min. before we were expected our host waited patient late for us. She offered something to eat and drink. We got a very beautiful room, with a nice view over the see. The bed were very good and everything were nice and clean.
When we arrived, Kathleen's daughter welcomed us in as Kathleen was out - we were running a bit late! The location is beautiful, and a highlight was the gorgeous horses that come up for feeding. And the backdrop from the back garden is beautiful. Very serene.
The room is very simple but has an ensuite. And an amazing view out across the estuary. The place is well located for getting into Cahersiveen, but you really need a car to get anywhere. There's parking at The Final Furlong - but the hosts drove us into town on our first night so we could enjoy Cahersiveen to the full... And he gave us a taxi number, which was about €6 one-way (after midnight). All in all, handy enough.
It's a beautiful part of the world and Kathleen gave us some great recommendations - she has all the tourist maps you could hope for. And local knowledge to boot! A lovely experience.
We were very comfortable at the Final Furlong. Kathleen was very hospitable and she made us a lovely breakfast. Our room had a nice view over the river and of the horses in their paddock, who were nice and friendly. We stayed here because of it's closeness to Skellig Michael which we were able to experience, something I would definitely recommend, the island is magical.
We felt very welcome, the location was ideal and beautiful.
Kathleen greeted us with great hospitality as it seems her Farmhouse is a B&B business that she's been running for a while. The house is beautiful and the room came with an amazing view. There are horses on the premises and we could not help ourselves but to pet them and feed them carrots (Kathleen gave us permission), and the room is so clean and comfortable that I could not imagine staying anywhere else in Cahersiveen. Most B&B in Ireland doesn't usually provide Irish breakfasts, but Kathleen offered and it was the most delicious Irish breakfast we had on this trip. I would come back here again.
Kathleen provided a very lovely b+b in a scenic, peaceful spot on the Ring of Kerry. Highly recommended!
Ein wunderschöner Ort! Kathleen ist eine herzliche Gastgeberin, unfassbar schöner Ausblick, kleines sauberes Zimmer und leckeres Frühstück! Absolut empfehlenswert!
We had a nice travel in Kathleen's B&B. Cahersiveen is just perfect to visit the Rong of Kerry and Valentina Island.
The room with the sea view is really nice. Kathllen is very kind. Good breakfast to start the day...
Many thanks for your kind review - we hope that you will have many happy memories of your visit in Ireland and especially our part of the South West, Regards, Kathleen
We really enjoyed our stay at the Final Furlong B&B! We got in after a long day of driving from Cork and the Ring of Kerry and were welcomed by our great host, Kathleen upon our arrival. We had a room with 2 beds and our own bathroom that was perfect for the night. We had picked up our own dinner of cheese and meats at a market during the day, so we sat on the patio and enjoyed the mild weather, beautiful scenery and the tranquility of the location. The next morning Kathleen prepared a fantastic Irish breakfast that filled us up and we were on our way. I would definitely recommend others to stay along their travels around the Ring of Kerry.
Fantastic Guests - would recommend them to all hosts ! Thank you for staying with us, Regards, Kathleen
Kathleen was a great hostess. The house was clean, quiet, relaxing, and close to town. Breakfast was also a wonderful start to our day with a beautiful view. We had a lovely stay.
You were both such very nice guests and I am happy that you had a good time with us - hope you continue experiencing good AirBnB stays - many thanks for stopping by! Regards, Kathleen
