He was an amazing host; he was very accommodating of odd hours to pick up keys and always asked if we needed anything more. I could not have asked for a better host.
Is a great place, nice cozy and clean aparment, good and safe neighborhhod and very well located for trasnport is next to RED LINE, close to the beach and few restaurants. Ryan was a very good host, anything we needed he helped us. Is a perfect choice and you make your economy, you can not get a Chicago hotel with a room like Ryan's at that price.
Ryan's appartment comes with everything furnished, so you don't need to bring things which is very confortable ! The appartment is clean, and 4 people can fit in (the 5th bed is a couch and is not confortable). The location is very good ! 2 meters from the red ligne, and you can be downtown direct, in 30 minutes. We do highly recommend Ryan's place.
Mr. Ryan Tomei was a great host. His apartment was clean and all thing which might be required were there. All things comfortable and ready to use. He helped me a lot by providing information about my questions too. I had a happy stay there. Thank you Ryan for everything.
Ryan is really a fantastic host. Very responsive.
I stayed at Ryan's with a parent for 10 days. His apartment is comfortable and well maintained. He communicates periodically in case we needed anything. The location is ideal for visitors to and everything is a trainstop away. Highly recommened. The CTA doesn't bother me and you won't hear much anyway.
Overall, Ryan's place was nice. The location isn't bad -- close to many of Lakeview East's restaurants and attractions, and close to several bus lines, not too far a walk from the Red/Brown line Belmont stop.
There were, however, a few problems. The first night, an alarm clock went off at 12:48am (I remember because I struggled figuring out how to shut it off). Neither alarm was set to "On", and the times on those alarms were 8:00am and 8:15, so there was no reason why it would go off. Second, as the alarm went off, there were noisy neighbors on the fire escape just outside Ryan's window. The neighbors are not his fault, of course, but it is a risk you get with an apartment in a younger area such as this one. Third, the water pressure came and went, mostly went. Often the toilet simply did not flush, and a shower was a challenge.
I did not have a bad weekend, it was not too expensive, I slept OK (in the bed--I am far too tall for the couch, so if you top 5'5", stick to the bed or the floor), and commuting to other areas of the city was easy. But I would not stay here again, either.
Ryan was a great host and his place was terrific. Will definitely keep him in mind as my first choice next time I go to Chicago.
Last minute trip to Chicago, and this was my first Airbnb place. Place was exactly as described, in a great location.

Really great! Cozy, comfortable place in a quiet building. In short walking distance to tons of great stuff. Ryan was easily accessible and very easy to work with. Highly recommended!
I have stayed at Ryan's place once and he is a very friendly and welcoming host. He is reliable and trustworthy. I highly recommend his as both a host and a guest.
