Hi, my name is Farhan and I have a lifelong addiction - travel.

My main philosophy in life is to be happy in what ever that I do. When you are happy, like Paulo Coelho's 'The Alchemist' quote, "And, when you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it."

Other than that, I love to do bit of travelling to take time off from busy Singapore. It's basically a time where I can spend my own quality time by myself. I've travelled extensively around Europe, India, and some countries in South East Asia, and also to Cape Town. There are still lots of places I would like to go!

I love to cook, and usually I can't live without my rice (it's an Asian thing). And of course, I love to read, where some of my favourite books list out Shantaram by David Gregory Roberts, All Kinds of Magic by Piers Moore Ede, Diving Bell and The Butterfly by the late French journalist Jean-Dominique Bauby and currently trying to finish out Zen and The Art of Motorcycle Maintenance by Robert M. Pirsig.

Some of my favourite tunes includes genres like post rock. Bands like Explosions in The Sky, Mogwai and God is an Astronaut are my current craze. I love shoe gazing rhythms too, and that includes singer Hope Sandoval (ex Mazzy Star) and indie band Mew.

Enough about me for now. Would love to get to know you when we cross paths. Ending the quote with:
"So many people live within unhappy circumstances and yet will not take the initiative to change their situation because they are conditioned to a life of security, conformity, and conservatism, all of which may appear to give one peace of mind, but in reality nothing is more dangerous to the adventurous spirit within a man than a secure future." Christopher McCandles.
